Great Lakes Loons home will host teams from around the region, state
MIDLAND, Mich. – Dow Diamond will once again host amateur baseball this season, featuring teams from the Great Lakes Bay Region as well as from around the state who will play during April and May when the Great Lakes Loons are out of town.
The schedule kicks off this Tuesday when Freeland and Reese square off for a 5 p.m. game. It will be the first of 13 amateur dates and 26 games scheduled for the home of the Great Lakes Loons.

“One of our goals is to make Dow Diamond available for as many community events as we can,” said Great Lakes Loons President Paul Barbeau. “We’re excited to host a large number of amateur teams once again this year and allow some of the area’s younger baseball talent to enjoy the ballpark.”
Centrally located in downtown Midland, beautiful Dow Diamond is the home field for the Great Lakes Loons and is one of the region’s premiere special events facilities. Dow Diamond is owned by the Michigan Baseball Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity and non-profit corporation.
