Boise Hawks 2022 Seasonal Job Fair Announced



BOISE, ID: The Boise Hawks have announced the date of their annual seasonal job fair for the 2022 season on Saturday, April 23rd from 10 AM to 1 PM at Memorial Stadium.

The Hawks are in search of dedicated and reliable personnel to join their game day staff for the upcoming season. They are looking for a variety of skill sets and personalities, but most importantly, they are looking for individuals who can contribute to the positive experience of their loyal fans and guests.

There are forty-eight (48) home games at Memorial Stadium. Position hours differ, but range from 1 PM to 10:30 PM. Operating hours are dependent on game duration, which can vary. The Job Fair will consist of standard applicant paperwork and brief personal interviews with Boise Hawks Management. All applicants must be 16 years of age or older.

The Hawks are looking to fill the following (but not limited to) positions: ticket takers, ushers, cooks, servers, food runners, hawkers and promotional support team members.

Donate a pair of winter gloves and receive a complimentary ticket to Opening Night

BOISE, ID: The Boise Hawks, the Pioneer Baseball League Southern Division Champions, have announced their annual Winter Glove Drive. For each new pair of winter gloves donated, fans will receive a complimentary General Admission ticket for Opening Night 2022 (Saturday, May 28 vs. Idaho Falls).

Starting on Monday, January 10, fans can donate new winter gloves at the Hawks Front Office, located at Memorial Stadium (5600 N. Glenwood Street). Hawks Front Offices are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Donations can be made through January 28.

The Hawks are in search of dedicated and reliable personnel to join their game day staff for the upcoming season. They are looking for a variety of skill sets and personalities, but most importantly, they are looking for individuals who can contribute to the positive experience of their loyal fans and guests.

There are forty-eight (48) home games at Memorial Stadium. Position hours differ, but range from 1 PM to 10:30 PM. Operating hours are dependent on game duration, which can vary. The Job Fair will consist of standard applicant paperwork and brief personal interviews with Boise Hawks Management. All applicants must be 16 years of age or older.

The Hawks are looking to fill the following (but not limited to) positions: cooks, food runners, wait staff and retail operations.

Boise Hawks Host Blood Drive 

 

BOISE, ID: The Boise Hawks and the American Red Cross – Idaho-Montana Region will be hosting a Blood Drive at the One Capital Center building on Wednesday, November 25th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM MT. Each participant who donates will receive a complimentary ticket to the Hawks 2021 Opening Night game.

“The need for blood in the Treasure Valley and around the country is constant,” said Boise Hawks General Manager, Mike Van Hise. “The beginning of the holiday season felt like a great time to assemble Hawks Nation to help out our fellow Idahoans in need.”

Additionally, each donor participant will be entered into a raffle for prizes that include:

  • 2019 Team Autographed Baseball
  • 2019 Authentic Road Jersey
  • First Pitch opportunity in 2021

BOISE, ID: The Boise Hawks have announced their sixth annual Winter Glove Drive, benefiting the Salvation Army – Boise Corps. For each new pair of winter gloves donated, fans will receive a complimentary reserved seat ticket for Opening Night 2020 (June 22 vs Salem-Keizer). With Treasure Valley temperatures falling below freezing, the Hawks want to help those who are in need of keeping warm.

“The Hawks are proud to continue this program for a sixth straight year,” said Boise Hawks General Manager, Mike Van Hise. “Through the combined efforts with our fan base, we hope to help those in need stay warm this winter.”

The Hawks are in search of dedicated and reliable personnel to join their game day staff for the upcoming season. They are looking for a variety of skill sets and personalities, but most importantly, they are looking for individuals who can contribute to the positive experience of their loyal fans and guests.

There are thirty-eight (38) home games at Memorial Stadium. Position hours differ, but range from 1 PM to 10:30 PM. Operating hours are dependent on game duration, which can vary. The Job Fair will consist of standard applicant paperwork and brief personal interviews with Boise Hawks Management. All applicants must be 16 years of age or older.

The Hawks are looking to fill the following (but not limited to) positions: ticket takers, ushers, cooks, servers, food runners, hawkers and promotional support team members. The Boise Hawks will be hiring on the spot so all applicants are encouraged to bring an ID and social security card.

Boise Hawks Announce Holiday Food Drive

BOISE, ID: The Boise Hawks have announced they will be hosting a food drive this holiday season, benefiting 7Cares Idaho Shares, hosted by KTVB. For every donation, fans will have the opportunity to spin the wheel for great Hawks prizes.

“The demand to collect food for those who need the community’s support is year-round.” said Bob Flannery, Boise Hawks General Manager. “During the holiday season, being able to support a great cause by KTVB is something we are proud of.”

Non-perishable food donations can be made at the Hawks Front Office, located at Memorial Stadium (5600 N. Glenwood Street). Hawks Front Offices are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Donations can be made through December 7, 2018.

Boise Hawks are In Bloom with St.Luke’s Children’s Hospital

The Boise Hawks have been patiently waiting for their trip to St.Lukes Children’s Hospital and it finally happened yesterday. Michael Heesch, Stephen Bruno and Dan Vogelbach went to St.Lukes and visited with the children on the fourth floor. They handed out hats, baseballs, helmets, balloons, foam fingers (Bruno’s favorite) and flower arrangements that the boys put together themselves at In Bloom Tuesday morning.

Vogelbach along with Nathan Dorris, Hunter Ackerman and Rock Shoulders all went to In Bloom where they learned the proper way to arrange flowers and the importance of giving back to the community. Host mom, Diane Laubengayer, put together this fun activity and was their teacher for the day. For Shoulders the importance of this trip was “just trying to keep the children happy and hopefully giving them the strength to pull through the tough days.” While some children might only be in the hospital a short time, others are there for long-term treatment for up to a year.

The trip to St.Lukes started in the Play Room where there is an inside play area as well as a rooftop playground with bouncy balls, teeter-totter, and a play house. The boys played kick ball with one little boy and spent time with the families. Vogelbach was excited to see the first little girl come in; he immediately went for his flower arrangement and gave it to her. I have never seen a smile so big, both on the face of the little girl and on her father’s.

We also got to meet a teenage boy who has grown up in a family of soccer players. He just started playing baseball last year and is a right handed pitcher, he was extra excited to meet Heesch. His first question was “What is your best advice for a pitcher?” The response he got, “Never let yourself have a bad day, and throw strikes!”

The visit seemed to open the hearts and minds of the players, Humphrey, and the staff who went along on the visit. The children’s hospitals are close to my heart and I encourage all of you to take the time and show your appreciation for someone today!
