NORTHWEST ARKANSAS NATURALS JOIN MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL’S COMMUNITY FIRST CAMPAIGN

April 28, 2020

SPRINGDALE, Ark. — The Northwest Arkansas Naturals today announced they are joining MiLB CommUNITY First, a new national initiative developed by Minor League Baseball™ (MiLB™) in conjunction with Feeding America®, to raise funds for local food banks and to honor individuals risking their lives on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Naturals fans are encouraged to visit MiLB.com/CommUNITYFirst through May 31 to donate. Once on the site, fans can choose their donation amount and the Northwest Arkansas Naturals as the recipient of their donation to direct funds to the Northwest Arkansas community. For every $10 donated, the Naturals will donate one ticket to a future home game this season or in 2021 to a local hero of the pandemic.

“The Naturals are proud to participate in Minor League Baseball’s CommUNITY program,” said Justin Cole, Naturals Vice President/General Manager. “This program is a great way to help those in need, and we appreciate the efforts of Minor League Baseball to aid communities across the country during this time.”

School closures, rising unemployment and rising poverty due to quarantine and extended stay-at-home orders have disproportionately impacted people already at risk of hunger and could result in an estimated additional 17.1 million people experiencing food insecurity in the next six months, according to Feeding America. As the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization with a network of more than 200 affiliates, Feeding America has projected a $1.4 billion shortfall in the next six months alone.

In response, contributions from Naturals fans and Minor League Baseball will help ensure families and individuals across the country most impacted by the pandemic are fed and cared for during these uncertain times. Join the national campaign by donating and selecting the Northwest Arkansas Naturals at MiLB.com/CommUNITYFirst and use #MiLBCommUNITYFirst on social media to show your support.

For every ticket package sold during the month, the Naturals will donate four (4) Home Plate Super Premium tickets for an April game to a local non-profit or youth organization of choice by the account holder purchasing the ticket package.

The ‘Season of Giving’ will run from Monday, December 3rd through Friday, December 21st and will be honored for both renewal clients as well as new ticket holders. Fans interested may purchase season tickets, mini packs, or flex packs in one (1) of three (3) ways: online at www.nwanaturals.com; by calling (479) 927-4900; or stopping by the Naturals Front Office at Arvest Ballpark during regular business hours, which is 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday.

Once a ticket package is purchased, a Naturals representative will reach out to the account holder to confirm the order. The account holder will then be able to tell the Naturals where they’d like the four (4) tickets to be donated and the Naturals will handle the logistics of getting the tickets to the appropriate non-profit. There is a limit of four (4) donated tickets per account.

NATURALS FUNDRAISING PROGRAM SETS NEW RECORDS IN 2017

September 25, 2017

SPRINGDALE, Ark – The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are proud to announce that the popular Naturals Ticket Fundraising Program enjoyed a record year in 2017 by establishing new highs in participating groups, tickets sold, and total money raised.

During the 2017 regular season and playoffs, which consisted of 70 home games, the Naturals partnered with 171 groups that included but were not limited to High School Baseball teams, school and musical groups, churches, and non-profits. The new mark of 171 organizations was 46 more than the previous record of 125 groups set during the 2016 season at Arvest Ballpark.

The increase in participating groups caused an increase in tickets sold and the amount of money raised. In 2017, 33,653 tickets were sold by participating groups as part of the fundraising program. The increase of 4,483 tickets sold over 2016 led to an increase in the money raised as a combined amount of $132,557 went back to the participating organizations this year. The amount raised of $132,557 set a new record, which broke the existing record of $119,217 set during the previous season.

Fundraising dates are currently available for the 2018 season of Naturals baseball. Additional information on the Naturals Ticket Fundraising Program can be found on our website at www.nwanaturals.com under the Groups & Events tab or by emailing us at groups@nwanaturals.com. To check on date availability or if you have any questions about any of the group or fundraising programs offered by the Naturals, please call us at (479) 927-4900 or visit our Administrative Offices located at Arvest Ballpark.

The Naturals Ticket Fundraising Program continues to grow in popularity and will be available to groups on a first-come, first-served basis. The program is designed to offer groups the chance to invite families and supporters of their respective cause to come out to a game, have fun, and keep a large portion of the ticket sales. Depending on the final number of attendees, the participating group will get to keep anywhere from 25%-50% of the organization’s ticket sales. As an incentive and a reward, the Naturals offer prizes to top sellers of groups and they include tours, autographs, game tickets, and First Pitch opportunities.

Non-profit groups seeking more exposure for their organization can inquire about the Community Partner Program that offers free marketing exposure for participating groups to go along with the standard benefits of the ticket fundraising program.
