Missing Children Found After Being Featured on ONEOK Field Sign

September 25, 2017

The Tulsa Drillers are pleased to announce that five of the missing children seen on signage at ONEOK Field this season have been located and returned home safely.

Eight different children were featured this year on The BairFind Foundation signage located on the first base concourse between Drill Bits and the main concession stands. Last year, three of the four kids featured were successfully located after their faces were shown on the sign at Drillers games.

The foundation confirmed that Alexis Bridges, Patrik Morrow, Neydy Amador-Lara, Stacie Dubbs, and Jesika Mosby had all been found and safely returned to their homes in Tulsa and the surrounding area.

The BairFind Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding missing children, placed more than 1,000 photos of missing kids in 151 MiLB ballparks this past season. Over 385 of those children featured were safely found. Of those successfully returned home, 31 of the kids shown in the ballparks in the Texas League were safely located. All 151 participating teams had at least one featured child who was found and returned home this summer.

“We are thrilled to have seen more than double the number of kids found from last year to this year while expanding the search in even more ballparks,” said BairFind Foundation Director, Dennis Bair.

The search continues for Tory Ashley and Kaitlyn Hicks from Tulsa, and Paige Moore from Broken Arrow, the three remaining children seen on the BairFind Foundation’s poster this season. Fans wishing to support or learn more about the work of The BairFind Foundation can visit their website at www.bairfind.org.

The Foundation would like to highlight the fact that the top proven method to locating missing children is to have as many eyes as possible looking. If you or someone you know has any information on the whereabouts of a missing child, please call 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678) or visit www.missingkids.com to report the information.

Legends & SAL teams partner with The BairFind Foundation

July 21, 2017

WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK (Lexington, KY) – The Lexington Legends are pleased to announce three missing children, whose status as missing was advertised at Whitaker Bank Ballpark through The BairFind Foundation, have been located and returned home. The BairFind Foundation partners with 153 Minor League Baseball teams to publicize missing children with the hope of locating them as a result. So far this baseball season 224 children have been located across the country. Teams in the South Atlantic League have successfully helped locate over 30 missing children as a result of their participation in the BairFind program, a testament to the passion of our fans for our community.

“The SAL partnership with The BairFind Foundation is a great example of how the Clubs turn the support they receive from their fans into another way to help their communities” said Eric Krupa, South Atlantic League President. “While the act of looking at a sign seems simple, all those eyes on those signs can really help the families whose children are missing. Everyone can participate and do their part by taking a moment to look at the pictures the next time you are at the ballpark.”

The BairFind Foundation is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to find missing children, and is an Official Homegrown Charity Partner of Minor League Baseball, which was just named a Classy Top 100 Non-Profit and Social Enterprise for 2017. The BairFind Foundation produces high definition, attractive signs for sports stadiums and arenas that feature photos of each city’s missing children. BairFind signs are placed in high visibility areas and are seen by millions of sports fans each season, greatly increasing the chances that featured children will be safely located.

The Lexington Legends are immensely proud to support and partner with The BairFind Foundation (www.bairfind.org) in conjunction with other Minor League Baseball teams across the country, as recently featured in USA Today (article below). The BairFind Foundation founder Dennis Bair, a former minor league baseball pitcher, said “A major challenge for a family with a missing child is how to keep their child’s photo in public view. This summer, the Lexington Legends have placed a BairFind sign featuring area missing children on their ballpark concourse for all the fans to see, greatly increasing the chances that someone will recognize a child’s picture and that they’ll be safely located. We are proud to partner with the Lexington Legends and the South Atlantic League, who were among the earliest adopters of our initiative.”

The Lexington Legends Executive Vice President Gary Durbin, will be officially placing ‘FOUND’ stickers on The BairFind Foundation sign on the children who have been located during the 7:05pm game tonight, July 21, 2017.

By partnering with the Williamsport Crosscutters, Panda Patriot Power and Minor League Baseball, we are providing a valuable and necessary service to Pennsylvania’s kids and their families at no cost to them. This summer, Williamsport fans will be instrumental in the search, thanks in large part to the generosity and sponsorship of Panda Patriot Power,” said BairFind Founder Dennis Bair.

Cutters Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations Gabe Sinicropi stated, “As soon as Dennis contacted us in 2010, we knew we needed to help out. How could you not? From putting missing children on our team photos to posting signage in the ballpark, we have seen BairFind grow and the number of teams participating increase exponentially. Missing Child Found with Spinners Help

September 18, 2016

LOWELL, MA – The Lowell Spinners, short season affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, are proud to announce that Edward Vasquez, a missing child whose picture was prominently displayed at LeLacheur Park this season, has been safely located in Springfield, MA.

Vasquez, in addition to three other missing children, had his picture posted on a sign from the BairFind Foundation, an organization dedicated to locating missing children, at LeLacheur Park this season. He was reported missing in April and was found in his hometown of Springfield. The three other missing children from the sign, Skyelee Housman, Derrick DeSouza, and Charlotte Lowell, have all been found as well. This marks the second season in a row that the BairFind Foundation and the Spinners have teamed up in an effort to find missing local children. For more information on the BairFind Foundation, visit bairfind.org.

“We could not be happier that all four children pictured in LeLacheur Park have been located and are now safe, sound and reunited with their families,” said Spinners’ owner Dave Heller. “The more eyes that are looking for a child, the more likely that child will be found, and the support this great community has given to the Bair Foundation and our outstanding law enforcement authorities has been overwhelming — and has produced real results for four families. This is a grand-slam day for Lowell!”

“BairFind is proud to partner with the Lowell Spinners, as they joined in the search for Edward Vasquez and three other missing children since opening day.” said BairFind founder Dennis Bair “It feels great to know that those children have been located safely this summer. The Spinners have made LeLacheur Park a powerful resource for their community in the search for missing kids.”

The Spinners recently concluded their 2016 season with the winningest season in team history and a Stedler Division title. The team will return for the 2017 season in June.
