NATURALS FUNDRAISING PROGRAM SURPASSES $100,000 RAISED

July 27, 2017

SPRINGDALE, Ark – The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are proud to announce that the popular Naturals Ticket Fundraising Program has surpassed the $100,000 raised mark. With 20 regular season home games left in 2017, the program has now raised a collective total of $100,140 for organizations throughout Northwest Arkansas and the surrounding communities.

Through 50 home games played at Arvest Ballpark, the Naturals organization has partnered with 126 groups from across the region and those groups have sold a combined 25,085 tickets. The result is a total amount of $100,140.00 raised for their respective causes, which marks the quickest that the program has accomplished the $100,000.00 feat. For comparison, during the entire 2016 season 125 groups participated in the program and sold 29,170 tickets, which raised a collective $114,125.

There are still spots available to involve an organization during home games in August and September; however, because of the popularity of the program and the amount of interest from groups, dates are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Groups in the program this year have consisted of school groups, sports teams, civic groups, non-profits, community partners, and numerous other community organizations. Families and supporters of the cause will get to come out to a Naturals game, have fun, and keep a large portion of the ticket sales. Depending on the final number of attendees, your group will get to keep anywhere from 25%-50% of the organization’s ticket sales. As an incentive and a reward, the Naturals will offer prizes to top sellers of groups and they include tours, autographs, game tickets, and First Pitch opportunities.

The fundraising flyer is currently available and can be found on our website at www.nwanaturals.com under the Groups & Events tab or by emailing us at groups@nwanaturals.com. To check upcoming date availability or if you have any questions about the Naturals fundraising programs, call us at (479) 927-4900 or visit our Administrative Offices located at Arvest Ballpark.

Non-profit groups seeking more exposure for their cause can inquire about the Community Partner Program that offers free marketing exposure for participating groups to go along with the standard benefits of our ticket fundraising program.

NATURALS PARTNER WITH AMERICAN RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE

July 25, 2017

SPRINGDALE, Ark – The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are proud to partner with the American Red Cross on a blood drive in August. An emergency call for blood and platelet donations was issued due to a current shortage.

Recently it was announced that the American Red Cross is experiencing a severe blood shortage and has issued an emergency call for the need of blood and platelet donations as right now there is more blood being distributed to hospitals than being donated. Thus the American Red Cross will be hosting a blood drive in August and the Naturals are teaming up with them to try and reach a goal of over 150 donors at blood drives across the region.

Each person that donates blood or platelets to the American Red Cross from August 1 through August 15 will receive a voucher for two (2) FREE Dugout Premium tickets to the Naturals 7:05 p.m. game on Tuesday, August 22 against the Springfield Cardinals (Double-A St. Louis Cardinals). The voucher will need to be turned into the Arvest Ballpark Box Office in advance or on the day of the game where it will be exchanged for the best available seats.

Find out more information or make an appointment to give blood by downloading the Blood Donor App, visiting redcrossblood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS. The donated blood and platelets will go to patients in need.

NATURALS HOST MOST IMPROVED STUDENT GAMES

June 7, 2017

SPRINGDALE, Ark – The Northwest Arkansas Naturals are proud to have partnered with Mercy Kids on our Mercy Kids Most Improved Student Program, which gave teachers a chance to reward students for making progress during the year. The Naturals will host three (3) Mercy Kids Most Improved Student games on June 7, June 8 and on June 12 and each game will feature a pre-game recognition on the field prior to the start of the game.

During the 2017 season, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals received a record number of nominations for the Mercy Kids Most Improved Student Program. A total of 1,226 students (up from 1,106 in 2016) were nominated by 734 different teachers. The total number of schools participating also increased from 86 in 2016 to nearly 175 in 2017.

Each student that was nominated received two (2) tickets and a Kansas City Royals Kids Zone pass to their choice of either the June 7, June 8, or June 12 games. Prior to each, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals will honor these Most Improved Students with a pre-game parade on the field where they’ll be recognized in front of the crowd. Note that the pre-game recognition on Wednesday, June 7 will occur in-between games since it is a doubleheader.

Teachers were asked to submit nominations of student(s) in their class who have shown the most improvement since the start of the school year. Measuring improvement in the classroom can be very subjective, so the guidelines for student nominations were left up to the discretion of each teacher as they could nominate students that made strides with their behavior, social involvement, academic improvement or any combination of these.

For more information on the Mercy Kids Most Improved Student Program fans can visit www.nwanaturals.com, call (479) 927-4900, email groups@nwanaturals.com, or stop out at the Administrative Office at Arvest Ballpark.

For each donor who chooses this option, a contribution to GBF will be made by Arkansas Blood Institute. GBF is a nonprofit that provides blood center technology and supplies to struggling blood centers around the world, so they can meet local needs through voluntary blood donation.

Donors with Arkansas Blood Institute exclusively provide blood needed by all patients in River Valley hospitals and some 15 other medical facilities in the region.

Appointments to donate are not required but can be made at 877-340-8777 or arkbi.org.

Walmart, Naturals Partner on Military Appreciation Program

February 16, 2015

Nominate a military member or veteran to be honored before a Naturals game in 2015

Northwest-Arkansas-NaturalsWalmart and the Northwest Arkansas Naturals are proud to partner again on our Military Appreciation program, which was created to honor the men and women that have served in the United States Military. The men and women selected will receive public recognition during select Naturals home games in 2015.

The Military Appreciation program will take place at all twelve (12) Sunday home games this year. For those interested in nominating a military member or veteran for a game, you can visit our website www.nwanaturals.com to find more information about the Military Appreciation Program under the Community tab. Fill out the nomination form completely and then either fax it or email it to the Naturals at the contact information listed on the form. You may also drop it off at our Administrative Office located at Arvest Ballpark between 10am-5pm, Monday-Friday.

Nominees that are selected will receive on-field or videoboard, recognition during a special pre-game ceremony at a Sunday Naturals game, four (4) complimentary Super Premium tickets, and a special certificate of recognition.

“The Naturals are proud to team up with Walmart for our 2nd season of this program to help honor those that serve to protect the freedoms of our great nation,” said Naturals General Manager Justin Cole. “Through this program, we were able to honor numerous individuals last season, and even were able to reunite a military serviceman with his family at one of our games, creating a moment none of us will ever forget.”

Walmart-Veterans-welcome-homeOn Memorial Day 2013, Walmart demonstrated its continuing support of veterans with the launch of its Veterans Welcome Home Commitment. Walmart promised to offer a job to any honorably discharged U.S. veteran within his or her first 12 months off active duty. Walmart projected it would hire more than 100,000 veterans over five years and it’s well ahead of that, having hired 77,000 veterans within the first 18 months of the commitment. Veterans interested in learning more can visit www.WalmartCareersWithAMission.com.

A military identification card, when shown at the Arvest Ballpark Ticket Office, is also valid for a $1 discount on tickets at all Naturals home games, no matter the day of week.

Northwest Arkansas Naturals Announce 2015 Scout Campout Dates

February 5, 2015

Scout patch & post-game campout included in events for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, & Cub Scouts

Northwest-Arkansas-NaturalsThe Northwest Arkansas Naturals are excited to announce that we will once again be hosting Scout Campouts by Camping World of Northwest Arkansas at Arvest Ballpark during our upcoming 2015 season. For the first time in franchise history, the Naturals will host three (3) of these Scout Campouts during the year and they will be on Friday, April 17, Saturday, June 27, and Friday, August 28.

Boy-Scouts-logo3The annual fan favorite is open to not only scouts but their friends and family as well. These designated events give scouts the opportunity to attend a Naturals game for a discounted group rate and enjoy an overnight campout in the outfield after the game for no additional cost. In addition, a kid-friendly movie will be shown on the videoboard during the campout after the game and all scouts and leaders in attendance will receive a commemorative 2015 Naturals’ scout patch. The Naturals selected the scout patch this off-season from a collection of designs created by local scouts and this year’s winner was Kendra McMaster, a 9 year old from Bella Vista and a member of Girl Scout Troop 5850. Tickets for Scout Night are only $8 per person if reserved in advance.

Girl_ScoutsFor scout groups wishing to participate in these events, the Naturals encourage one (1) parent or leader in the group to collect RSVP’s and payment from each family that would like to attend. This ensures that all members of the group will be seated together during the night of the event. To reserve your group for one (1) of the Naturals three (3) Scout Campouts in 2015, please visit our website and download the Scout Campout flyer located under our Groups and Events tab or contact Matt Fanning at (479) 927-4053 or matt@nwanaturals.com.

Northwest Arkansas Naturals Announce 2015 Fundraising Information

January 22, 2015

The easiest, most popular fundraiser in the area – over $450,000 raised since the 2010 season

Northwest-Arkansas-NaturalsThe Northwest Arkansas Naturals have released their fundraising information for Season 8 of Naturals baseball at Arvest Ballpark. The Naturals fundraising program has raised over $100,000 each of the past four seasons and is available to non-profits, sports teams, school organizations, civic groups, and churches.

Fundraisers at Arvest Ballpark are offered for a pre-determined Sunday-Thursday home game. Participants will resell Naturals Reserved tickets for their pre-determined game at $8, which is $1 less than the day of game price. No deposit is required after the date is scheduled; however, we ask that a member of the fundraising group informs their Naturals rep 10-14 days before the game with the exact amount of tickets that will be needed for their game. The percentage back that is received is based upon the size of the group but can be up to 50% of the ticket total.

There is no maximum to the amount of tickets sold and the Naturals will offer prizes to all groups and their top sellers. There are different tiers based on the size of the group but prizes can include a Pre-Game or Post-Game photo on the field with your group, ten (10) person VIP Tour of Arvest Ballpark before or during the game, tickets to a future Naturals game, autograph baseball, and one (1) ceremonial first pitch at your designated fundraising date.

The Naturals will also provide ticket forms and promotional materials to assist with the group’s effort. In addition, a free Strike the Sasquatch mascot appearance is offered to groups to help promote their fundraiser at the ballpark.

The 2015 fundraising flyer is now available and can be found on our website at www.nwanaturals.com under the Groups & Events tab or by emailing us at groups@nwanaturals.com. To check date availability or if you have any questions, you can give us a call at (479) 927-4900 or visit our Administrative Offices located at Arvest Ballpark.

Welcome to clubphilanthropy.com!

Minor League Baseball clubs have been actively involved in their communities for many years. For the first time, their activities and contributions will be chronicled on this site.

Clubs don’t publicize all of their activity, so these stories represent a mere fraction of the contributions MiLB clubs make to their communities every year.
