Gwinnett Stripers’ Veterans Packs Return for 2023

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – In observance of Veterans Day, the Gwinnett Stripers are once again offering a Veterans Pack for the 2023 season. Packs are on sale for a limited time only, from November 10-12.

Veterans Packs are available to all service members and their dependents and may be purchased online at GoStripers.com or at the Coolray Field box office (open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) from November 10-11. Packs will be available online-only on November 12.

For just $75 (a value of $163), each Veterans Pack includes:

  • One (1) Field Box ticket to four patriotic-themed Stripers 2023 home games, including Opening Night (March 31), Salute to Armed Forces (May 26), Independence Day (July 4), and Fan Appreciation Night (September 22).

  • One (1) Stripers Patriotic T-Shirt

  • Invite to watch Stripers Batting Practice on the field on May 26

  • On-Field Recognition at Salute to Armed Forces on May 26

M-Braves, Atlanta Braves partnering to provide $1 tickets, and concession vouchers to Jackson residents for Sunday’s game

PEARL, MS – The Mississippi Braves will offer $1 tickets to all Jackson residents (with proof of residency) for their 6:05 pm game this Sunday, Sept. 4, against the Tennessee Smokies at Trustmark Park. In addition, each Jackson resident that attends Sunday’s game will receive a free meal voucher for a hot dog, chips, and a 16 oz drink, courtesy of the Atlanta Braves. Tickets and vouchers are only redeemable at the Trustmark Park box office at the ticket window. The Trustmark Park box office is open at 10 am on Sunday.

“Our thoughts have been with all of those currently struggling with their daily routine due to the current water crisis,” said Pete Laven, vice president, and general manager of the Mississippi Braves. “We appreciate the Atlanta Braves joining forces with us on this event as we invite all Jackson residents out for a fun, carefree night at Trustmark Park.”

Bees to Honor First Responders on Sept. 11

SALT LAKE CITY (Sept. 10, 2021) – The Salt Lake Bees have several events planned to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

The Bees will start the day by turning on the Smith’s Ballpark stadium lights at 6:46 a.m. (MT), the time American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. The lights at the stadium will remain on for 24 hours to honor the victims of 9/11.

Prior to the game, Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall will join the Bees in leading a moment of silence. An honor guard of Salt Lake City Fire and Police will conduct a flag ceremony, and the Salt Lake City Fire Department Choir will perform the National Anthem.

Tickets for the game on Saturday are half price for first responders using a link sent to them by Mayor Mendenhall and Salt Lake County Mayor Jenny Wilson as a thank you for their sacrifice and service.

The Bees will also be collecting food and clothing donations throughout the day at Smith’s Ballpark to benefit Utah Food Bank and Shelter the Homeless as part of Larry H. Miller’s Driven to Assist program. Fans that bring a donation will receive two ticket vouchers for any Bees game during the 2021 season. All non-perishable food items will be accepted, but among the most needed items are:

· peanut butter

· mac & cheese

· canned meats

· canned fruits

· boxed meals.

New socks and underwear or gently used clothing (including coats and closed-toe shoes) for children and adults will be accepted, and there is an urgent need for menstrual products.

First pitch against the Oklahoma City Dodgers on Saturday night is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. at Smith’s Ballpark.

Dash Announce Hometown Heroes USA Celebration

The Winston-Salem Dash are teaming up with Salem One for a Hometown Heroes USA event at Truist Stadium on Saturday, September 11 to honor all service members and first responders (active and retired). The Dash will take on the Bowling Green Hot Rods, an affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, at 6:00 p.m.

Service members and first responders (and one guest) can take advantage of a special $5 offer that includes their game ticket and a voucher for a hot dog, chips, and a Pepsi product. Additional tickets that include the food and beverage voucher can be purchased for $16. The first 500 service members and first responders to purchase tickets will be eligible to receive a free pair of OnCloud athletic shoes at the game, courtesy of Veterans Service of the Carolinas. (Norwich, CT) – The Norwich Sea Unicorns are hosting “Salute to Health Care Workers” Saturday, July 24 at 12 pm when they take on the Westfield Starfires in a game that will air live on NESN. Tickets for all health care workers and their families are $2 with a valid health care employee ID.

“We are happy to recognize the health care workers in our community who give so much of themselves every day, but especially throughout the pandemic when they have helped lead all of us through such a difficult period,” said Dave Schermerhorn, General Manager of the Norwich Sea Unicorns. “Health care professionals work tirelessly and selflessly every day, so we hope these heroes of our community can enjoy a well-deserved day at the ballpark where we can recognize them and show our appreciation for all they do for so many.”

Sounds Announce Online Auction of Camouflage Military Jerseys

The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club announced today an online auction of their game-used Military Appreciation Jerseys to benefit the Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center at Middle Tennessee State University. The auction begins today and runs until Friday, Aug. 13 at 6:00 p.m.

The Sounds wore the camouflage military jerseys during the 2019 season and twice so far in 2021 – Saturday, May 15 and on Saturday, July 3. The club will wear them for a final time as part of Military Appreciation Night on Sunday, Aug. 8.

The Sounds offer military family ticket discounts for every game at First Horizon Park. A $2 discount on single-game ticket prices is available for any Reserved Section seat – based on availability. The Daniels Center at MTSU is the largest and most comprehensive veterans center on any public higher education campus. Hooks, Circle K Partner for Tuesday Food Drives

CORPUS CHRISTI – The Hooks and Circle K have teamed up to fight hunger in the Coastal Bend.

At each remaining Tuesday home game, fans can donate non-perishable food items that will directly benefit the Coastal Bend Food Bank.

Those who donate to the Circle K Food Drive at the Whataburger Field gates will receive a voucher for $2 off any Reserved or Field Reserved ticket, which can be redeemed at the Box Office for any Sunday through Thursday game during the 2021 season.

RENO, Nev. – The Reno Aces and KOLO Cares are partnering with the Food Bank of Northern Nevada to include a food drive at Aces games from June 17-20. All who bring a non-perishable food item will receive a buy-one-get-one-half-off ticket voucher for the Aces’ August 5-10 series against the Tacoma Rainiers.

Nashville Sounds Announce “Hometown Hero” Program Presented by MTSU Daniels Center

The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club proudly announced today the return of its “Hometown Hero” program presented by Middle Tennessee State University – Charlie and Hazel Daniels Veterans and Military Family Center.

During the 2021 season on select home games at First Horizon Park, the Sounds and MTSU Daniels Center will honor veterans, active members of the armed forces, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, police officers and firefighters.

Nominations for heroes are now being accepted here. All nominees must be, or have been, a member of the United States Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, or a paramedic, emergency medical technician, police officer or firefighter.

Selected heroes will receive complimentary tickets to a Sounds game and be recognized on the iconic guitar scoreboard during a special in-between inning feature.

The Daniels Center’s mission is to provide transition services for Veterans and their families as they return to civilian life after military service. The Daniels Center is the largest and most comprehensive veterans center on any Tennessee higher education campus. It enables the over 1000 military-connected student population on campus to have a one-stop shop to meet a variety of academic needs.

PEARL – The Mississippi Braves are proud to announce the continuation of a program that offers discounted tickets to our local first responders, military, and veterans. All members and veterans of all branches of the U.S. military and first responders/emergency personnel will receive $5 Diamond Level tickets ($10 discount) to all Mississippi Braves home games in 2021 when presenting a valid ID at the box office. This expanded discount on tickets for all home games at Trustmark Park to our local heroes is an extension of AMR First Responders Day each Wednesday, in which a complimentary Field Level ticket is offered.
