
ROUND ROCK, Texas – Following the continued devastation brought on by Hurricane Harvey, the Round Rock Express is teaming up with the United Way of Williamson County to host a donation drive in support of relief efforts.
The two organizations will be collecting donations at Dell Diamond Friday and Saturday starting at 6 p.m. and Sunday starting at 5 p.m. Fans will receive two general admission tickets for the Express’ season finale on Monday with their donation.
The list of items the United Way is asking for include:
- Toiletries (shampoo, body wash, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, hairbrushes, feminine hygiene products, etc.)
- Diapers
- Hand sanitizer
- Bleach, heavy-duty cleaners, dish soap, sponges, etc.
- Contractor-grade trash bags
- Mops and buckets
- Heavy-duty work gloves
- Latex/nitrile gloves
- Box fans
They will not be collecting clothing, toys, furniture or taking monetary donations at this time. A detailed list of accepted donations can be found at www.UnitedWay-WC.org.
This drive is part of a larger effort by the United Way of Williamson County to collect cleaning supplies and personal care items for flood victims.
The Express close out the 2017 regular season with this final homestand. The team will face Colorado Springs for three games before welcoming in the Oklahoma City Dodgers for four games.

The New Orleans Baby Cakes will be raising money and supplies for victims of Hurricane Harvey during the team’s final homestand of the season from September 1-4.
Additionally, the ‘Cakes have teamed with the Junior League of New Orleans to collect supplies for storm victims. Fans bringing the following items to Sunday’s Fan Appreciation Night will receive a FREE ticket to the 6 p.m. game, which features postgame fireworks:

By combining their talent and resources, Building Baseball aims to further advance the revitalization of Little League fields and Babe Ruth ball parks in urban and underserved communities throughout the state. BlueClaws staff member Jamie Stone will be recognized as part of the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore’s Phenomenal Women Under 40 event on Thursday, September 14th at Park Pavilion in Seaside Park.
She helped the BlueClaws win a Golden Bobblehead Award in 2015 for the Ball Brawl on-field promotion, and helped the BlueClaws get nominated for another Golden Bobblehead Award in 2016 for Harry Potter Night, which was recognized as the Minor League Baseball promotion of the Month for May of last year.

(Reading, PA) – The Reading Fightin Phils, proud double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, will be joining forces with MiLB Charities by donating 50/50 profits to the MiLB Hurricane Harvey relief fund rolled over from Monday, August 28th through Thursday, August 31st. Minor League Baseball Charities will match that amount up to $10,000.

TROY, NY – The Tri-City ValleyCats have announced that they will be donating $1.00 of each ticket sold between Monday, August 28 and Saturday, September 1 to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Harvey disaster relief in Texas.
The Harrisburg Senators are asking their fans to help them raise relief dollars for the devastation in the Houston area due to Hurricane, now Tropical Storm, Harvey. With nearly 50″ inches of rain expected this week and tens of thousands of people affected, the Senators want to help the relief effort.
DANVILLE, Va. – The Danville Braves presented a donation of nearly $1,200 to the Danville-Pittsylvania Cancer Association Monday afternoon as part of MiLB’s CommUNITY initiative featured throughout the month of August. The D-Braves raised $2,397.32 from the auction of game-worn cancer awareness jerseys. The proceeds were split between the Danville-Pittsylvania Cancer Association and the Centra Foundation.

After nearly 2,500 votes were cast on the Norfolk Tides Facebook page, Deer Park Little League has won the Youth Field Makeover Project presented by Orkin. This field makeover will include an upgrade to the playing surface and an improvement to existing dugouts.
