Amazin’ Mets Foundation Hosts Holiday Magic with the St. Lucie Mets

PORT ST LUCIE, Fla. – For the second consecutive year, the Amazin’ Mets Foundation hosted Holiday Magic with the St. Lucie Mets, an event that creates a special holiday memory for underserved children in the community. On Tuesday, December 6 and Wednesday, December 14, the Amazin’ Mets Foundation and United Way of St. Lucie & Okeechobee treated 24 second and third grade students from White City Elementary to a holiday shopping spree at Target in Tradition.

The kids were paired with a Mets front office staff member who helped guide them through the store, where they could pick out any toy they wanted. After shopping, the kids were treated to a pizza party at Blaze Pizza and received a gift card for their families.

“The Amazin’ Mets Foundation is committed to positively impacting our community in Port St. Lucie,” said Alex Cohen, President of the Amazin’ Mets Foundation. “We hope that Holiday Magic with the St. Lucie Mets creates a special holiday memory for all of the children who participated.”

The Amazin’ Mets Foundation also recently supported the Annual Coney Island Holiday Toy Giveaway. The Foundation is active in the Port St. Lucie area and distributed 575 meals for the Thanksgiving holiday at Clover Park.

Trash Pandas Successfully Launch Non-Profit Foundation

MADISON, Alabama – In just its first year, the Rocket City Trash Pandas Foundation raised more than $150,000 in donations for non-profit organizations in North Alabama and the Tennessee Valley. The Foundation, the 501(c)3 charitable arm of the Trash Pandas was incorporated prior to the 2022 baseball season, is dedicated to educating and promoting healthy lifestyles through sport and to positively impact communities in the region.

The donations were fueled by fundraising events, both new and returning, including Game-Worn Jersey Auctions, Community Clubhouse Sales, Youth Camps, and the Trash Pandas Food & Beverage Volunteer Program.

Highlights from 2022 include:

  • Six specialty game-worn jersey auctions featuring jerseys worn by Trash Pandas players and coaches during select home games. After the game, jerseys were auctioned with proceeds going to local non-profits that raised over $100,000 throughout the season. 2022 jersey auctions included Space Night, Star Wars Night, Armed Forces Night, Patriotic Jerseys for Independence Day, Marvel Defenders of the Diamond Night, and Huntsville Stars Throwback Night.
  • The Trash Pandas Food and Beverage Volunteer Program allowed organizations to assist in operating concession stands during games. Each volunteer was paid hourly with profits going to their organization, which collected over $57,000.
  • The Trash Pandas Foundation hosted two Community Clubhouse Sales in 2022, offering a variety of autographed and game-used memorabilia to fand in a garage sale fashion. Items included autographed cards, mystery autographed baseballs, broken bats, game-worn hats, limited-edition specialty jerseys, and more. These sales raised over $21,000 for the foundation.
  • Trash Pandas players took part in a Youth Instructional Camp where over 100 children aged 7-10 learned baseball fundamentals. Players also embraced the North Alabama community, making appearances at the St. Jude’s Clinic and Pediatric Wing at Huntsville Hospital, Volunteering with Rock, Steady, Boxing’s Senior Class, and reading to students at local schools.
  • During each Wednesday home game, fans were invited to bring their four-legged friends to Toyota Field for Dog Day, with a $1 donation per dog going to an animal-related non-profit. Throughout 10 Dog Days, over $700 was collected.
  • Sprocket made dozens of appearances at special events such as school visits, Little League Opening Days, a Huntsville Havoc game, and even a trip to Los Angeles.
  • Throughout the year, Toyota Field also hosted school groups ranging from elementary to college for behind-the-scenes tours of Toyota Field with stops including the press box, clubhouses, the field, and luxury suites.

The Rocket City Trash Pandas Foundation is led by Director of Community Relations, Maddison Kendrick, who has been with the team since 2020 following a successful three years leading community relations for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs. BlueClaws Charities Suite Raffle Tickets Now On Sale

JERSEY SHORE, NJ – BlueClaws Charities launched their annual Luxury Suite Raffle fundraiser, through which eight winners will each earn a 10-game share of a 2023 BlueClaws Luxury Suite.

Tickets are just $100 and only 300 raffle tickets are sold. Eight winners are selected through a drawing on March 31st that will be streamed live on the BlueClaws Facebook page at 3:00 pm.

“This has been one of our best fundraisers over the last few years and we’re looking forward to another great raffle,” said Jim McNamara, Executive Director of BlueClaws Charities. “Suite Raffle tickets make great holiday gifts while supporting a great cause.”

There are several benefits to participation in the Suite Raffle. Each ticket holder receives the following:

– Four reserve seats to Opening Night at the Jersey Shore (set for April 11th)
– Claws Cove coupon valid for 25% off.
– Chance to purchase a BlueClaws Luxury Suite for special rate of $600 (an $850 value)

The eight winners will participate in a draft to select their games for the season. Each game includes 20 tickets in the private Suite. The BlueClaws season begins April 11th and runs through September 3rd. Ticket holders with multiple tickets can win multiple shares (for example, someone that wins with two of their tickets would win 20 games in a BlueClaws Luxury Suite).

Each Luxury Suite provides panoramic views of the stadium from a climate-controlled indoor area, which is completely furnished with cable and has 12 seats on the balcony. Luxury Suite ticket holders also have access to the Blue Wave Bar as well as wait service within the suite.

The proceeds from the raffle go to benefit BlueClaws Charities, a 501c3 organization and the official non-profit organization of the Jersey Shore BlueClaws. Donald Driver Charity Softball Game Scheduled for Sunday Night on June 4

GRAND CHUTE, WI – There will be softball under the lights on Sunday, June 4, 2023. Donald Driver, Jordy Nelson, Green Bay Super Bowl Champions, and current stars will come together for the Donald Driver Charity Softball Game at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium at 7:05pm on that date. The event will raise money for the Donald Driver Foundation and additional local and player charities.

Fans may purchase a package that includes one ticket to the Donald Driver Charity Softball Game and three vouchers for a 2023 Timber Rattlers home game starting at 11:00am on Thursday, November 17. Packages are $71 for reserved, $101 for box, and $126 for premium box.

Single-game tickets for the Donald Driver Charity Softball Game will be available for purchase on Tuesday, November 22 at 11:00am.

Tickets for the softball game are $75 for a premium box seat (first two rows), $50 for a standard box seat, $29 for a reserved bleacher seat, and $15 for a general admission grass seat. There are also a limited number of patio tables – which seat four – available at $287. The patio tables will include a softball autographed by Driver and Nelson.

There are 117 All-You-Can-Eat seats available for this game for $90 per seat. There are 69 All-You-Can-Eat seats down the first base line. The new Home Plate Club that is part of the current renovations at Neuroscience Group Field will have 48 All-You-Can-Eat seats. This ticket includes admission to the game, an all-you-can-eat picnic for 90 minutes, and two beverages (beer, soda, or water).

Additionally, all 87 seats in Section 100 are $87 and tickets include a Jordy Nelson autographed softball.

“I am excited to see Jordy Nelson’s return, and to feature Super Bowl Champions and current stars competing,” said Driver. “Please buy tickets early and you can win a meet and greet with Jordy and me! Go Pack Go!!”
Fans who purchase tickets before November 29 will be entered in a drawing with the winners being able to meet Donald Driver and Jordy Nelson before the softball game.

“I am looking forward to returning to Wisconsin as we keep the Softball Game tradition going,” said Nelson.

More participants will be announced closer to the date of the event.

Fans who are planning on attending the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers game against the Peoria Chiefs on June 4 should note that the start time of that game has been moved from 1:10pm to 12:10pm. The stadium and the parking lot will be cleared after the conclusion of the Timber Rattlers game.

The game will raise money for the Donald Driver Foundation, other player charities, and local charitable organizations. The mission of the Donald Driver Foundation is to display Strong Hands, Strong Minds, and Loving Hearts to serve as a hand up, not a handout. The Donald Driver Foundation has a core focus in serving underprivileged children and families by addressing health & wellness, safety, and education & career development.

Christmas With the Claws Food & Toy Drive Returns December 3rd at ShoreTown Ballpark

JERSEY SHORE, NJ – BlueClaws Charities will host their annual Christmas food and toy drive, Christmas with the Claws, on Saturday, December 3rd from 10 am – 12 pm at ShoreTown Ballpark.

Santa will be at the ballpark for pictures, and his good friend Buster will be on hand too.

The event serves as a toy drive to benefit the Salvation Army of Ocean County and their annual Holiday Toy Shop. Fans are asked to bring unwrapped toys or non-perishable food. Donors will receive a ticket to Opening Night at the Jersey Shore, set for Tuesday, April 11th (one ticket per donor).

“Santa is very excited to return to ShoreTown for his annual visit and we’re looking forward to this great event,” said Jim McNamara, executive director of BlueClaws Charities. “Over the years, the BlueClaws family has been incredibly supportive of the Salvation Army and their toy drive and we hope that continues this holiday season.”

There will also be a station set up where kids can write letters to Santa, which will be sent off to the North Pole in time for Christmas! The BlueClaws will provide complimentary hot chocolate.

BlueClaws Charities will sell Mystery Bags at the event, which include merchandise and promotional items.

Finally, the Claws Cove will be open for holiday shopping with special sales and packages. New BlueClaws Marvel-inspired merchandise will be available. BlueClaws ticket representatives will be on hand as well for those that would like to give the gift of BlueClaws tickets this holiday season.

Curve Charities Inaugural Gala Set For Saturday, February 4

CURVE, PA –Altoona Curve Charities, a 501c3 organization, are pleased to announce the inaugural Curve Charities Roaring Twenties Gala on Saturday, February 4 will take place at the Jaffa Shrine.

The fundraiser features a special appearance from Curve alumni and former Pittsburgh Pirate Neil Walker as well as live music from local party rock band, Shallow 9, and a silent auction featuring sports memorabilia and several Curve-related items.

Walker, now a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates Broadcast team, played two seasons with Altoona in 2006 and 2007 before making his major league debut with the Pirates in 2009. His 12-year major league career included seven years with the Pirates and stops with the New York Mets, Milwaukee Brewers, New York Yankees, Miami Marlins and Philadelphia Phillies; concluding after the 2020 season. In 1,306 career games, he produced a .267 batting average, 238 doubles, 22 triples, 149 home runs and 609 RBI.

The themed gala will take place at the Jaffa Shrine, located at 2200 Broad Ave in Altoona, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are available for $100 for two tickets (individual tickets cannot be purchased) and includes dinner and a limited open bar. The event will conclude at 10:00 p.m.

Thunder Cares Presents ‘Give Thanks’ Food Drive

Storm Baseball’s official non-profit ‘Thunder Cares’ and in partnership with The Dream Center of Lake Elsinore is hosting a month-long food drive from November 1st – November 21st to supply food to Lake Elsinore families in need this holiday season.

Please stop by The Diamond Stadium, our front office will be open and available for deliveries from 10 AM-4 PM every weekday, excluding weekends.

The Lake Elsinore Storm is proud to support our community and different local organizations by providing donation items and fundraising support throughout the year. These donations are made possible through Thunder Cares.

Thunder Cares is a 501c3 non-profit that was established through an ongoing partnership with the Inland Empire Community Foundation. Proceeds raised through Thunder Cares benefit local charities, youth sports, military, first responders, and other local groups in need.

BlueClaws Charities Accepting Applications For 2022 Grant Program

JERSEY SHORE, NJ – BlueClaws Charities, the 501c3 foundation of the Jersey Shore BlueClaws, is now accepting grant applications from area organizations. Organizations may apply for a grant through Friday, November 11th.

Click here to fill out a grant application. All applicants must be a 501c3 organization.

“Our goal each year is to provide grants to a wide variety of non-profit organizations throughout the Jersey Shore. The support we receive throughout the year enables us to do this and we encourage organizations to apply and take advantage of this opportunity,” said Jim McNamara, Executive Director of BlueClaws Charities.

Organizations are asked to provide specific details about where the grant money will be used. Priority will be given to organizations whose projects are based in Ocean & Monmouth Counties. Filling out an application does not ensure the receipt of a grant. Grant allocations will be made in November by the BlueClaws Charities Board of Directors.

BlueClaws Charities raises money in a variety of ways throughout the year. In-stadium fundraising includes a nightly 50/50 raffle, jersey auctions, scoreboard messages, and other miscellaneous raffles. BlueClaws Charities also raised money through Mystery Bags sold at games this summer.

BlueClaws Charities is the official 501c3 organization of the Jersey Shore BlueClaws.

Nashville Sounds Foundation to Host Suites-N-Treats Event at First Horizon Park

The Nashville Sounds Foundation announced the return of its kid-friendly, Halloween-themed Suites-N-Treats event at First Horizon Park on Tuesday, October 25 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

For the first time since 2019, the Sounds and their Club Level suite owners will decorate the Club Level suites at First Horizon Park. Participants are invited to trick-or-treat, moving about the Club Level to collect candy and participate in each suite’s festivities.

Tickets are available for $5 each and can be purchased here. All proceeds will benefit the Nashville Sounds Foundation. All participants must purchase a ticket to enter First Horizon Park

The Sounds welcome attendees to dress in costumes of their choosing, provided they comply with the costume policy for this event. All costumes are subject to inspection upon entry or at any time over the course of the event at the discretion of personnel. Toy and replica guns/weapons are prohibited. Costumes of any kind that cover the head and face are allowed but must be removable during security screening and/or as requested by event staff.

Indians to Hold Indianapolis Indians Charities Bowling Event at Woodland Bowling Center on Saturday, Nov. 12

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Indians today announced that the organization’s nonprofit Indianapolis Indians Charities will hold a commemorative charity bowling event at Woodland Bowling Center from 12-4 PM on Saturday, Nov. 12. The inaugural IIC Bowling Event is in remembrance of longtime Indians front office employee Brad Morris, who was an avid bowler and owned six perfect 300 scores in his bowling career.

The IIC Bowling Event features 70 available bowling lanes and sponsorship opportunities. Individuals or groups interested in bowling may sign up here, and businesses interested in title, contest or signature bar sponsorships may learn more here. All proceeds from the event benefit Indianapolis Indians Charities.

Hall of Famer Andre Dawson headlining Flying Squirrels’ Hot Stove

RICHMOND, Va. – Hall of Fame outfielder Andre Dawson will headline the Richmond Flying Squirrels’ 2022 Charity Hot Stove presented by Performance Foodservice on Thursday, November 10 at the Altria Theater, the team announced on Thursday.

The annual Hot Stove raises funds for the initiatives of Flying Squirrels Charities, which focuses on education, athletics, inclusion and social determinants. Tickets and sponsorship packages are available now here.

“We are thrilled to be back in person for our Hot Stove fundraiser, benefitting the great community work of Flying Squirrels Charities,” Flying Squirrels CEO Todd “Parney” Parnell said. “We very much look forward to an entertaining program at the beautiful Altria Theater featuring our first Baseball Hall of Fame guest, Andre Dawson.”

For the first time, the Flying Squirrels’ Hot Stove will be held at the historic Altria Theater. The main program will take place on the stage from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Doors will open for attendees with stage tickets at 6:30 p.m. Stage tickets are on sale now for $25.

Attendees with ballroom and VIP tickets will be able to enter beginning at 5 p.m. for hors d’oeuvres, drinks, live music with DJ Ron, an autograph session, silent auction items, a 360° photobooth and more. Ballroom tickets are on sale now for $100.

The program will feature special conversations with Dawson, Virginia native and Texas Rangers interim manager Tony Beasley, Flying Squirrels manager Dennis Pelfrey and Flying Squirrels outfielder Jacob Heyward. More guests, including the winner of the Paul Keyes RBI Award, will be announced at a later date.

Dawson played 21 major league seasons for the Montreal Expos, Chicago Cubs, Florida Marlins and Boston Red Sox from 1976-1996. During his career, he was named an All-Star eight times, won eight Gold Glove Awards, was the National League Rookie of the Year in 1977 and was named the National League MVP in 1987. He was inducted to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2010.

Curve Charities To Support Local Youth Programs and Organizations That Promote Exercise, Health, Activity and Education

CURVE, PA – Altoona Curve Charities, a 501c3 organization devoted to supporting local youth programs and organizations, is pleased to announce that Grant Applications are available now to area non-profits that promote healthy living for the betterment of youth and community.

The 2023 Grant Program will accept applications from nonprofit organizations that specifically support local youth programs and organizations that promote exercise, health, activity, and education. Grants may be awarded in the form of financial assistance or facility renovations by our staff and groundskeeper, depending on the needs of the organization.

“We’re pleased to announce this grant program today and take the next step in our impact on the well-being of our community,” said Curve General Manager, Nate Bowen. “Any organization that supports young members of our community is welcome to connect with us and apply for a grant and we look forward to seeing all the ways that we can support our next generation through this program.”

Organizations looking to participate in the Grant Program are encouraged to submit their application between October 1 and December 15 and must be submitted through the online form located here.

Dayton, Ohio—Autographed, game-worn jerseys for more than 30 Dayton Dragons players and coaches from the 2022 season are available in an on-line auction starting today and continuing until 10:00 a.m. on October 7.

The list of players featured in the jersey auction is below. Most of the jerseys in this auction are the Dragons “Gem City” style that was worn on multiple occasions beginning in June. However, several additional jersey styles are also included, such as the Dragons green “Sunday” jerseys, their white “home” jerseys, and their orange “Friday” jerseys. Most jerseys are autographed, but fans should check the description for each individual item in the auction before posting a bid.

Jerseys worn by highly-regarded 2022 Dragons prospects Chase Petty (Gem City and Home jerseys), Austin Hendrick (Gem City and Friday), Rece Hinds (Gem City and Sunday), Noelvi Marte (Gem City and Sunday), and Jay Allen II (Gem City and Home) are featured in the auction.

In addition to those five players, the auction also includes jerseys worn by Julian Aguiar, Frainger Aranguren, Donovan Benoit, Sam Benschoter, Dennis Boatman, Manuel Cachutt, Tyler Callihan, Ashton Creal, Thomas Farr, Myles Gayman, Jake Gilbert, Jake Gozzo, Steve Hajjar, Owen Holt, Ruben Ibarra, Hayden Jones, Steven Leyton, James Marinan, Quincy McAfee, Miguel Medrano, Mat Nelson, Javi Rivera, Christian Roa, Braxton Roxby, Jayvien Sandridge, Justice Thompson, Vin Timpanelli, Jose Torres, Michael Trautwein, and Michel Triana. Cutters Donate to American Rescue Workers

The Williamsport Crosscutters recently presented the American Rescue Workers with a check for $7,626, representing the proceeds from the team’s 50/50 raffles during the 2022 season. The nightly 50/50 raffle is presented by the Crosscutters and the Pitch In Charitable Foundation, a non-profit foundation of professional baseball teams.

This represents the sixth straight season that the team has donated it’s 50/50 proceeds to the American Rescue Workers. Cutters Vice-President of Marketing Gabe Sinicropi stated, “The American Rescue Workers is a great organization, run by great people, doing great work. We know that the donated funds are put to good use, helping the most vulnerable in our community in their time of need.”

In the past six seasons, the Williamsport Crosscutters have donated over $39,000 to ARW through the foundation’s 50/50 raffle.

2022 Nolan Ryan Foundation Dinner & Golf Tournament Announced

ROUND ROCK, Texas – The Nolan Ryan Foundation announced the dates for the 2022 Nolan Ryan Foundation Dinner & Golf Tournament. The dinner will take place on October 23 at Kalahari Resorts & Convention Center, while the golf tournament will be held on October 24. The location of the tournament will be provided upon registration.

Hall of Famers, Joe Torre and Nolan Ryan will be in attendance for this intimate, once-in-a-lifetime dinner. Torre and Ryan will sit down with Round Rock Express CEO, Reid Ryan, for a short program as they discuss their Hall of Fame careers with the crowd. “The Nolan Ryan Foundation Dinner & Golf Tournament is a major driver for the scholarships and grants we award each year,” said Mary Conley Thompson, Manager of the Nolan Ryan Foundation. “With this year’s event at Kalahari Resorts & Convention Center, we are looking forward to our biggest year yet.”

All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Nolan Ryan Foundation scholarship and community grant programs. The Nolan Ryan Foundation’s mission is to provide resources for youth, education, and community development in the Central Texas area. In the last year, the Nolan Ryan Foundation has given approximately $250,000 in scholarships and community grants.

The Nolan Ryan Foundation began in 1990 in Alvin, Texas and relocated to Round Rock in 2017. The foundation became the non-profit arm of the Round Rock Express. Nolan Ryan, Reid and Reese Ryan, along with Don, Bret and Brad Sanders make up the ownership group of the Express.
