Aces, Washoe County Health District to provide free vaccines at Opening Day

RENO, Nev. – The Reno Aces and Washoe County Health District are partnering to offer free vaccines at Greater Nevada Field for all attending fans on Opening Day. The vaccines will be administered on the concourse.

“We appreciate ourpartnership withReno Aces and hope fans will take advantage of this convenient opportunity to receive the vaccine,” said Kevin Dick, District Health Officer for Washoe County. “Getting back to normal means enjoying a day at Greater Nevada Field without fear of contracting or spreading COVID-19. The COVID-19 vaccine can help that cause. Plus, there might not be a better place in Washoe County to get the COVID-19 vaccine than Greater Nevada Field.”

“We have worked closely with the Washoe County Health District throughout the pandemic to return our fans to Greater Nevada Field,” said Aces president Eric Edelstein. “Getting our community vaccinated is the most important last step to returning our lives to normal and we’re thrilled to help in that effort at Aces games this season.”

The station will be behind section 115 in the stadium, and will run for the entirety of the game, with Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) available.

Blue Wahoos Partner With FDOH-Escambia To Offer In-Game Vaccines

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos, in partnership with the Florida Department of Health in Escambia County, will offer free COVID-19 vaccines to fans at their games on Tuesday, May 11th, Saturday, May 15th, and Sunday, May 16th. Single-shot vaccines will be available to medically-eligible fans ages 18 and up and will be administered by Department of Health nurses.

“We’re so excited for the opportunity to work together with the Florida Department of Health to offer vaccines to our fans,” team president Jonathan Griffith said. “Helping get Pensacola vaccinated meets our mission as an organization to improve the quality of life in our community. I’m so excited about this chance that I’ve committed to get vaccinated myself on the dugout during the 7th inning stretch while singing Take Me Out To The Ballpark!”

No appointments will be necessary for fans attending the games. 500 vaccine doses will be available at the ballpark in first-come, first serve fashion.

“This collaboration with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos is not only a great opportunity to increase vaccinations in our community but also a model of the vital role that partnerships play in our public health system,” Marie Mott, health officer and administrator for FDOH-Escambia, said. “The COVID-19 vaccine is an important tool to stop the spread of COVID-19, and I encourage all eligible persons to get vaccinated.”

Mount Carmel and Columbus Clippers Offer COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic

Columbus, Ohio – “Take me out to the ball game; take me out to get my COVID-19 shot.”

It may not be how the old song goes, but that’s how the Columbus Clippers and Mount Carmel will be celebrating the return of baseball to the Arena District in downtown Columbus next week.

From Tuesday, May 11th through Sunday, May 16th — the Clippers’ first home stand of the season — the Clippers and Mount Carmel will be offering a week-long COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at Huntington Park. Fans ages 18 and over can visit the first-aid center located behind home plate from the time gates open through the end of the third inning to receive the Janssen (J&J) COVID-19 vaccine. The J&J vaccine provides full vaccination with a single shot.

Yard Goats Announce Vaccinations will be Available for Fans at Selected Games in May

(Hartford, CT) The Hartford Yard Goats Baseball Club, the Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, along with Hartford HealthCare, announced that vaccinations will be available for fans at selected Yard Goats home games at Dunkin’ Donuts Park in the month of May. The announcement was made this afternoon at a press conference at Dunkin’ Donuts Park which included United States Senator Richard Blumenthal, Governor Ned Lamont, Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin, President and CEO, Hartford HealthCare, Jeffrey A. Flaks, and Hartford Yard Goats team President Tim Restall.

The vaccinations will be available during weekday Yard Goats games on Tuesday, May 11th (Opening Night), Wednesday, May 12th, Tuesday, May 18th, and Wednesday, May 19th from 6:30-8:30pm. Weekend vaccinations will take place on Sunday, May 16th and Sunday, May 23rd from 12:30-2:30pm. Coca-Cola Park to host Covid-19 vaccinations on

Thursday, May 6 at the IronPigs’ home game

From 5-7 p.m. the Allentown Health Bureau will administer Covid-19 vaccines at the entrance plaza

Allentown, Pennsylvania (5 May 2021) – Getting vaccinated is a GRAND SLAM! The Allentown Health Bureau is coming to Coca-Cola Park on Thursday, May 6 from 5-7 p.m. to administer COVID-19 vaccinations to adults 18 and older just prior to the IronPigs game that evening at 7:05pm.

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are encouraging everyone 18 and older to get vaccinated. For those who do receive a vaccination tomorrow, Thursday, May 6, those individuals can show their new vaccination card at the Provident Bank Ticket Office and receive a FREE game ticket to the game to see the IronPigs play the Rochester Red Wings immediately after their shot.

“We want to do our part to encourage vaccinations so that all of us can return to ‘normal’ as soon as possible and to help keep our entire community healthy,” said Kurt Landes, President and General Manager of the IronPigs. “It’s time to strike out Covid once and for all. Ballparks have hosted vaccination drives before, but never AT a game and while providing a free game ticket in return.”

“We’re trying to cover all our bases and get the vaccine into as many arms as possible,” said Allentown Health Bureau Director Vicky Kistler. “We’re happy to partner with the IronPigs to score more victories over the COVID-19 virus.”

The Allentown Health Bureau is distributing only the Moderna vaccine. Guests who receive a Covid-19 vaccination on Thursday, May 6 will be able to receive their second dose on Thursday, June 3 at the Allentown Fairgrounds any time from 8:30-2:30 p.m.

In addition to hosting the vaccinations, it is Nurses Night, presented by Bayada Home Service at the IronPigs game tomorrow evening and it is also the first Happy Hour of the year featuring $1 Berks hot dogs and alcoholic drink specials from 5-7pm.

Fluor Field to Serve as COVID Vaccination Site Thursday

Consistent with its ongoing “Front Porch Of The Community” focus, the Greenville Drive are excited to announce today, in partnership with Prisma Health, a series of COVID-19 vaccination events to occur at Fluor Field throughout the Drive’s 2021 season. The Drive announced plans this week to host the first vaccination event on Thursday, May 6th during their doubleheader against the Bowling Green Hot Rods.

On Thursday, vaccinations will take place from 6-8pm in the Power Alley hospitality area of Fluor Field, directly inside the Main Street entrance to the stadium. No appointments are needed; vaccinations will be offered on a walk-up basis and administered by officials with Prisma Health. The Pfizer vaccine will be administered free of charge; those 16 years of age or older, needing their first or second dose, will be eligible. For those needing their second dose, it must be a minimum of three weeks since their first dose, but no later than six weeks.

To help encourage participation, all of those that get vaccinated on May 6th at Fluor Field will receive a complimentary ice cream at the Drive’s destination ice cream stand Sweet Caroline’s as well as a complimentary ticket to any remaining 2021 regular season game.

Syracuse Mets and Onondaga County Team Up to Provide Free COVID-19 Rapid Testing for Fans to Attend Syracuse Mets Games

SYRACUSE, NY – The Syracuse Mets and Onondaga County are partnering to provide free COVID-19 rapid testing at NBT Bank Stadium for fans during the 2021 season. New York State guidelines require fans to show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test prior to entry. This rapid test that will be provided by Onondaga County at NBT Bank Stadium will fulfill the testing requirement set forth by New York State.

Testing will take place on the day of Syracuse Mets home games Tuesday through Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. There are no games on Mondays this season. This gameday testing is available for fans who are attending the Syracuse Mets game on the same day. Fans will need to register in advance at https://covid19.ongov.net/appointments/testing-registration-form/

The tests will be administered outside NBT Bank Stadium in clearly marked areas. All fans will be directed to an initial screening area. Those already with proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test will proceed to one of the gates clearly marked for entry into the stadium. Fans without proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test will be directed to the testing tent where they will check in, get tested, and wait for the test result. After receiving proof of a negative test, those fans can then proceed to the one of the entrance gates. Fans should plan accordingly as the test may take up to 30 minutes to deliver results.

Since the testing begins more than four hours before all games, fans can come early to get tested and then return later in the day for the game with proof of negative test already in hand.

Fans are encouraged to get proof of a negative COVID-19 test ahead of time in order to reduce the amount of people needing a test at the stadium and the wait time.

Proof of full vaccination is only valid if the individual has received their second Moderna or Pfizer shot, or first Johnson & Johnson shot at least 14 days prior to the event date. Negative COVID-19 tests must be dated within 72 hours of the event if it is a PCR test, or within 6 hours of the event if it is an Antigen test. The Syracuse Mets will be screening fans upon entry to the stadium, including temperature testing.

Tickets for the 2021 Syracuse Mets baseball season are now on sale. Fans can purchase tickets at the Onondaga Coach Ticket Office at NBT Bank Stadium or over the phone during regular office hours (Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or online anytime at syracusemets.com.

Monroe County Executive Adam Bello and Rochester Red Wings President & CEO Naomi Silver are excited to announce that Frontier Field will host a pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Saturday, April 24 from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. As an incentive, those who get their vaccine at Frontier Field on Saturday will receive a coupon good for a hot dog when they come to a Red Wings game this season.

“Summer nights at Frontier Field are a Monroe County tradition that residents and families missed out on in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the Red Wings anticipated return on the horizon, now is the time to get your COVID-19 vaccine and ensure you’re able to catch a game at Frontier Field this season,” said Bello. “Vaccination is key to returning to normalcy and enjoying the things we love most about the summer months in Monroe County. We can all end this together, and it starts with the simple act of getting your COVID-19 vaccine.”

The COVID-19 vaccine is FREE to anyone, regardless of health insurance or coverage. This clinic will offer first-dose Pfizer vaccine, which is approved for anyone 16 years of age and older. Appointments will be required for this vaccine clinic and can be made on the Monroe County scheduling website, https://www.monroecounty.gov/health-covid19-vaccine, or by calling the Monroe County COVID-19 hotline at (585) 753-5555. Second-dose Pfizer appointments for anyone attending this clinic will be held on Saturday, May 15 at the same time as your first-dose appointment.

The Rochester Red Wings are slated to make their long-awaited return to Frontier Field on May 18, 2021, with an extended home stand until May 30. The Red Wings will then have another extended home stand from June 15 – June 27.

Under New York State COVID-19 guidelines, fans will have to present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination OR a recent negative COVID-19 test in order to attend outdoor professional sporting events, including Rochester Red Wing games at Frontier Field. Anyone vaccinated at through this weekend’s clinic will be eligible to attend games at Frontier Field starting May 29 under the full vaccination guidelines, meaning no COVID-19 test will be required.

Syracuse Mets Fan Cutouts will Raise Money for COVID-19 Support in CNY

SYRACUSE, NY – The Syracuse Mets are raising money to benefit local residents and organizations in Central New York that have been affected by COVID-19 by selling fan cutouts. Similar to the fan cutouts that the New York Mets did at Citi Field in 2020 and at Clover Park for Spring Training in 2021, fan cutouts at NBT Bank Stadium will be featured in the stands throughout the 2021 season. Funds raised will benefit the Central New York Community Foundation COVID-19 Community Support Fund.

“The Syracuse Mets are proud members of the CNY community and will be forever thankful to the essential workers and organizations like the CNY Community Foundation that helped our friends and neighbors in CNY through the pandemic,” said Jason Smorol, general manager. “The struggle will continue on for many in our community and we look forward to working with our fans to help give back in a fun, yet meaningful way.”

Fan cutouts are being sold online for $50 (plus taxes and fees) & will be sent photo submission details after purchase. Cutouts can feature anyone, including your pet, but there can only be one individual featured in each cutout. Gwinnett Stripers to Honor Frontline Workers with Specialty Jersey

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Gwinnett Stripers, in partnership with Northside Hospital, are hosting Salute to Frontline Workers on Friday, May 28 vs. Memphis. The 7:05 p.m. game will honor the doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, foodservice workers, municipal workers, and other essential employees who have kept us safe, fed, and going during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

On that night, the Stripers will wear specialty jerseys featuring the names of local (Gwinnett and surrounding counties) frontline workers. Now through March 26, the Stripers will accept name submissions for inclusion on the jersey via an online form at GoStripers.com. The final jersey design will be unveiled prior to the game on May 28.

Each game-worn jersey will be made available for purchase in an online auction at GoStripers.com starting May 27. Proceeds will benefit Northside Gwinnett Foundation.

Allentown, Pennsylvania (2 March 2021) – The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are asking fans all throughout the Lehigh Valley to “Step Up To The Plate” in raising money for local restaurants that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The message “Step Up To The Plate” draped across the middle of the t-shirt with FeRROUS swinging with a fork is now available for purchase to all fans.

“It’s been a difficult year for local restaurants and we simply want to help by ‘Stepping up to the Plate’,” said IronPigs President and General Manager Kurt Landes. “Restaurants in the Lehigh Valley and around the country have been heavily affected by Covid-19. 100% of the proceeds of from the sales of this t-shirt will help local restaurants.”

Dash to Toss Free T-Shirts in Local Neighborhoods

The Winston-Salem Dash, Truist, and Wake Forest Baptist Health are taking the most popular in-game promotion at Truist Stadium, the “Free T-shirt Toss” to one local neighborhood. Dash staff and team mascot BOLT will toss free T-shirts from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 31.

The “T-shirt Toss” is designed to bring some joy to families as they continue through this unusual school year. Neighborhoods can be nominated in a social media contest on the Dash Facebook page or by emailing the Dash at [email protected]. The Dash will also be delivering free ice cream to neighborhoods in the coming weeks.

“Nothing gets a crowd more excited than a Free T-shirt Toss,” said Dash President, C.J. Johnson. “If your neighborhood is selected, the odds of catching a T-shirt when you are only competing with your family are dramatically better than in a full stadium!”

T-shirts will be wrapped with useful information from Wake Forest Baptist Health regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Once the neighborhoods is selected, they will be informed of the delivery date, so families can be prepared to be on their porch during the T-shirt Toss.

The Winston-Salem Dash 2021 season will begin on Tuesday, May 4 at home against the Rome Braves.

Curve giving free ticket vouchers to area hospital employees

CURVE, Pa. – The Altoona Curve are honoring health care employees at area hospitals with one free undated ticket voucher to any 2021 home game at Peoples Natural Gas Field as a thank you for their constant sacrifice for our health during the pandemic.

Hospital employees in Blair, Bedford, Cambria and Huntingdon counties will all be included. Specific health facilities include UPMC Altoona, Tyrone Regional Hospital, James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center, Nason Medical Center, UPMC Bedford, JC Blair Memorial and Conemaugh Memorial. Curve personnel will deliver tickets directly to the facilities for distribution among hospital staff.

Undated ticket vouchers can be used for any Curve home game during the 2021 season. Whenever employees wish to use their voucher, they may visit the PNG Field box office on the day of any Curve home game to exchange the voucher for a game ticket before entering the stadium. Vouchers can also be turned in for a specific game date after the 2021 game schedule is available. All seating is based on availability at the time of redemption.

Hillsboro Hops & Baseballism Raise $10K for Charity

100% of Profits From Co-Branded Mask Sales Benefit Non-Profit Organization Community Action

Hillsboro, OR. (December 16, 2020) – The Hillsboro Hops (@HillsboroHops) and Baseballism (@Baseballism) have donated $10,000.00 to local non-profit Community Action from the sales of Hops and Baseballism co-branded face masks to help minimize the spread of COVID19.

100% of the profits from the sale of the masks were donated to the non-profit, Community Action (https://caowash.org/). The funds will help struggling families in Washington County stay secure in their homes, keep their lights and heat on and put food on their table.

“This pandemic has been so hard on families who were already struggling to make ends meet,” said Community Action Executive Director Kemp Shuey. “To have this amazing support at this time will be a big help.”

“It was an honor for the Hops to partner with Baseballism in supporting Community Action in these challenging times,” said Hillsboro Hops Managing Owner Mike McMurray. “All three of the involved organizations are firmly committed to making our community stronger by assisting those residents whose needs are the greatest. Thank you Baseballism and Community Action for giving us this opportunity. Of course this effort would not have been successful without the generosity of Hops’ fans and supporters. They stepped up once again.”

Winston-Salem Dash Announce Dash City Gives

Nearly 100 families to receive gifts through Dash City Gives Drive-Thru event at Truist Stadium.

The Winston-Salem Dash will be providing children from nearly 100 families in need with gifts this holiday season at a Dash City Gives Drive Thru event. The families will also receive complimentary hot cocoa as they proceed through the parking lot at Truist Stadium on Monday, December 21 from 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. CDC and Wake Forest Baptist Health recommended safety protocol will be followed.

Select triad families were informed of the opportunity through non-profits, including The Hispanic League. All participants have RSVP’d. Day of arrivals will not be eligible for gifts.

The Dash staff and mascot Bolt will be assisted with present distribution by Santa! Companies interest in donating presents for this event or signing up for a time slots to wrap gifts can contact the Dash at 336-714-6866. Any donations above what are needed for this event will be donated to Toys for Tots.

“The pandemic has hit families hard. Our staff hopes this event will be a way to bring a little extra joy to some Winston-Salem families this holiday season” said Dash President, C.J. Johnson.
