EL PASO, TEXAS – November 23, 2022 – The El Paso Chihuahuas and AT&T present “Paws for Presents”, a holiday donation drive to benefit the Child Crisis Center of El Paso. The online drive is live now and runs through Friday, December 9, 2022.

Reno Aces Fans Raise Over $22,000 in Theme Jersey Auctions

RENO, Nev. – From Doctor Strange to SpongeBob SquarePants, Margaritaville, and more, the players and coaching staff wore a wide range of jerseys beyond their standard red, white, and blues during their Pacific Coast League Championship run at Greater Nevada Field.

This season, the Aces partnered with six Reno-area charities, Reno Rodeo Foundation, JOIN Inc., Eddy House, Communities in Schools of Nevada, Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation, and Disabled American Veterans, with each theme jersey night that included a jersey auction.

After a final tally of each theme-jersey auction, the Reno Aces are proud to announce a total of $22,374.18, with each of the six beneficiary charities receiving $3,729.

Donald Driver Charity Softball Game Scheduled for Sunday Night on June 4

GRAND CHUTE, WI – There will be softball under the lights on Sunday, June 4, 2023. Donald Driver, Jordy Nelson, Green Bay Super Bowl Champions, and current stars will come together for the Donald Driver Charity Softball Game at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium at 7:05pm on that date. The event will raise money for the Donald Driver Foundation and additional local and player charities.

Fans may purchase a package that includes one ticket to the Donald Driver Charity Softball Game and three vouchers for a 2023 Timber Rattlers home game starting at 11:00am on Thursday, November 17. Packages are $71 for reserved, $101 for box, and $126 for premium box.

Single-game tickets for the Donald Driver Charity Softball Game will be available for purchase on Tuesday, November 22 at 11:00am.

Tickets for the softball game are $75 for a premium box seat (first two rows), $50 for a standard box seat, $29 for a reserved bleacher seat, and $15 for a general admission grass seat. There are also a limited number of patio tables – which seat four – available at $287. The patio tables will include a softball autographed by Driver and Nelson.

There are 117 All-You-Can-Eat seats available for this game for $90 per seat. There are 69 All-You-Can-Eat seats down the first base line. The new Home Plate Club that is part of the current renovations at Neuroscience Group Field will have 48 All-You-Can-Eat seats. This ticket includes admission to the game, an all-you-can-eat picnic for 90 minutes, and two beverages (beer, soda, or water).

Additionally, all 87 seats in Section 100 are $87 and tickets include a Jordy Nelson autographed softball.

Fans who purchase tickets before November 29 will be entered in a drawing with the winners being able to meet Donald Driver and Jordy Nelson before the softball game.

Fans who are planning on attending the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers game against the Peoria Chiefs on June 4 should note that the start time of that game has been moved from 1:10pm to 12:10pm. The stadium and the parking lot will be cleared after the conclusion of the Timber Rattlers game.

WooSox Foundation Joins Worcester County Sheriff for 2022 Winter Coat Drive

For the second consecutive year, the WooSox Foundation showed their support for the Worcester County Sheriff Reserve Deputy Association’s Annual Winter Coat Drive, led by Worcester County Sheriff Lew Evangelidis.

In a period spanning five days in the middle of October, more than 4,000 brand new winter coats were distributed to people in need throughout Worcester County, thanks to the support of hard-working volunteers and generous sponsors who support the drive every year.

Stops were made at community organizations and non-profits in Gardner, Fitchburg, Leominster, Worcester, Webster, Southbridge, and Milford to distribute winter coats before the colder winter months are upon us.

“It’s our pleasure to continue to show our support for the Worcester County Sheriff’s Winter Coat Drive,” said WooSox Vice President of Community & Player Relations Joe Bradlee. “We’re always blown away by the enthusiasm and showing of support from everyone involved, along with the sheer quality of the winter coats that are distributed every year. This is a coat drive that makes a real impact for people in this region.”

The WooSox Foundation sent Smiley Ball along with several staff members to help distribute the coats at each stop along the way.

2nd Annual Heroes Softball Game is Tuesday Night at Fluor Field

The 2nd Annual Heroes Softball Game between the City of Greenville Police and Fire Departments will take place at Fluor Field on Tuesday, November 8th. First pitch for this charitable softball game is set for 5:30 PM, and the Main Street Gates to the ballpark will open at 4:30 PM.

The event will also feature a special appearance from the Clemson Tigers Baseball team. Players and coaches will meet with fans and attendees, as well as serve as umpires, coaches, and more throughout the evening!

The event is complimentary to the public, but you must claim a ticket in advance of the event by CLICKING HERE. While the event is complimentary, donations are encouraged throughout the event, as both the Police Department and Fire Department raise money for charity.

The beneficiary of this year’s game is The Julie Valentine Center, a non-profit organization that provides free, confidential services to sexual assault and child abuse survivors and their families. Segra Stadium to Host Annual “United for Veterans”

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Fayetteville Woodpeckers will host the annual “United for Veterans” event on Friday, November 11th from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Segra Stadium. This event is free, open to the public and will have activities for all ages.

United for Veterans will feature a resource fair that will bring dozens of organizations together, offering services for veterans and military families. Among these will be organizations providing education services, medical information, employment assistance, mental health care, housing, fitness, recreational activities and more.

Along with the resource fair, there will be family activities around the concourse and a “Woodpeckers Yard Sale,” in which exclusive Woodpeckers jerseys and other items will be available for purchase. The Woodpeckers will also collect donations at this event for unhoused veterans. Anyone is welcome to bring donations such as shoes, handwarmers, paper towels, toilet paper and athletic clothing.

United for Veterans is one of over fifteen events happening in Cumberland County during Heroes Homecoming, a weeklong celebration of veterans and military families, organized by the Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, Heroes Homecoming is honoring the “Heroes at Home,” military families and spouses, along with veterans and active-duty members. Heroes Homecoming kicks off on Saturday, November 5th with the annual Veterans Day parade, and festivities continue through Saturday, November 12th.

Celebrate Halloween At The Ballpark Friday And Saturday!

Blue Wahoos Stadium will host a pair of Halloween events during the upcoming weekend beginning with a showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Friday, October 28 followed by the return of the annual Wahooloween celebration at the ballpark on Saturday, October 29.

Guests ages 18+ can experience The Rocky Horror Picture Show on the big screen at Blue Wahoos Stadium this Friday at 8:00 PM. Gates open at 7:00 PM and attendees are encouraged to come in costume prepared to sing and dance along with the cult classic film. Tickets are $20 and include a prop bag (while supplies last) to participate with the film. Guests may sit in the stands at the stadium or bring a blanket to enjoy the film from the field. The festivities continue on Saturday at Wahooloween, a family-friendly, all-ages event. Gates open at 5:00 PM and guests can trick-or-treat around the ballpark until 6:00 PM with over 30 vendors handing out candy and treats. At 6:00 PM, guests can settle in for a showing of the Halloween hit Hocus Pocus on the videoboard. Tickets are $7 and include trick-or-treating and the film. WORCESTER, MA — The Worcester Red Sox will present the second annual “Trick-or-Treat at Polar Park,” featuring a Polar Park Pumpkin Patch Sunday, October 30, from 2–7 p.m.

The event is free and doesn’t require a ticket to attend. Youngsters can trick-or-treat in Suites 14 through 22 on the first-base side of the DCU Club. WooSox staff will pass out candy and trinkets.

At the First Base Plaza, fans can participate in a pumpkin-decorating contest to win a WooSox Halloween Swag Bag. A panel of WooSox judges, including mascots Smiley Ball and Woofster the WonderDog, will select the winning design. Fans can bring their own decorated pumpkins, and the WooSox will also provide a supply of pumpkins for those who choose to create their art on the spot.

In addition, the fan with the “Best Costume” will win four DCU Club tickets to a game in WooSox ’23 and a large bag of candy.

Pixar’s Coco will be played on the left field videoboard at 4:30 p.m. Fans can watch the film from the seating bowl or inside the DCU Club, where there will be free movie-themed snacks. Adult beverages, including some with a special Halloween theme, can be purchased at the cash bar.

Halloween-themed music will be played throughout the ballpark. Families can take photos in front of backdrops in Sections 9 and 16.

Before the Halloween party begins, Canine Companions will host “DogFest New England” at Polar Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Furry friends and families can enjoy activities, inspiring speakers, dog demonstrations, and other entertainment to benefit the nonprofit that ensures that guide dogs are free of charge to the individuals and families who need them. Nashville Sounds Foundation to Host Suites-N-Treats Event at First Horizon Park

The Nashville Sounds Foundation announced the return of its kid-friendly, Halloween-themed Suites-N-Treats event at First Horizon Park on Tuesday, October 25 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

For the first time since 2019, the Sounds and their Club Level suite owners will decorate the Club Level suites at First Horizon Park. Participants are invited to trick-or-treat, moving about the Club Level to collect candy and participate in each suite’s festivities.

Tickets are available for $5 each and can be purchased here. All proceeds will benefit the Nashville Sounds Foundation. All participants must purchase a ticket to enter First Horizon Park

The Sounds welcome attendees to dress in costumes of their choosing, provided they comply with the costume policy for this event. All costumes are subject to inspection upon entry or at any time over the course of the event at the discretion of personnel. Toy and replica guns/weapons are prohibited. Costumes of any kind that cover the head and face are allowed but must be removable during security screening and/or as requested by event staff.

WooSox Infielder Ryan Fitzgerald and Pitcher Durbin Feltman Headline Inaugural “Thank You Care-A-Van” Sept. 29 through Oct. 1

After wrapping up their season finale in Rochester, WooSox Infielder Ryan Fitzgerald and pitcher Durbin Feltman lead the club’s Inaugural “Thank You Care-A-Van” that ran from Thursday, September 29, and wrapped up at David Prouty High School in Spencer during their homecoming on Saturday, October 1.

The Care-A-Van began at Elm Park Elementary School in Worcester at 10:00 AM, where Feltman and Fitzgerald read to children, and where the club also partnered with the Juniper Outreach Foundation to install a food pantry in the school. Founded in February of 2020, the Juniper Outreach Foundation helps combat food insecurity in the Worcester Public Schools and provides basic necessities to children in need.

From Elm Park, the WooSox headed to Worcester’s Net of Compassion on Main Street, where they distributed food and supplies to some of the city’s homeless population, and they concluded the afternoon at the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester, where they played interactive games with kids in the club’s after-school program.

“It was a pleasure to stick around Worcester for a few days after our season ended,” said WooSox infielder and 2022 Community Spirit Award winner, Ryan Fitzgerald. “Worcester has been a community that’s supported us all season long, and it was a lot of fun to be able to give back with my friend and teammate Durbin Feltman.”

UMass Memorial Hospital was the WooSox’ first stop of the day on Friday, September 29, to cheer up kids going through a challenging time in their Children’s Medical Center. After UMass, the ballplayers spoke to the baseball program at Worcester Academy, along with students in their sports marketing program. Friday wrapped up at the Worcester Public Library for a reading in the “WooSox Book Nook,” followed by a dinner with veterans at Worcester’s Veterans Inc.

“It was great being in Worcester for a few days, doing good deeds throughout this community,” said WooSox pitcher Durbin Feltman. “Worcester was an awesome city to pitch in all season long, and being able to give back for a few days after our season ended was the perfect way to begin the off-season.”

The players and WooSox club officials also attended Anna Maria College’s groundbreaking on Saturday for their new multi-purpose baseball field at noon October 1, and spent the remainder of the afternoon at David Prouty High School’s homecoming in Spencer, taking photos and signing autographs in the school’s gymnasium.

Just days later, on October 4, Spencer and East Brookfield residents voted “Yes” in a special election on a ballot initiative to pay for a $112 million renovation of David Prouty High School.

Boo Bash 2023 at BayCare Ballpark

CLEARWATER, Fl. – The City of Clearwater Parks & Rec Department, along with the Threshers, invite the community to the 2023 edition of Boo Bash at BayCare Ballpark. This free, family-friendly Trick-or-Treat event is on October 31st from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Local businesses and vendors will be passing out candy to kids on the concourse as families walk table to table. Hay rides, games and an on-field costume parade highlight the evening. The playground, concessions, and facilities will be open.

BayCare Ballpark is located at 601 N Old Coachman Rd in Clearwater.

Boomer’s Drive-Thru Trick or Treat Returns October 28

The Williamsport Crosscutters, in association with the City of Williamsport, have announced the return of Boomer’s Drive-Thru Trick or Treat, a free trick or treating experience for children and their families. The event will take place in the Muncy Bank Ballpark parking lot on Friday, October 28 from 6pm-9pm and is sponsored by UPMC, the UPMC Health Plan and Backyard Broadcasting.

The event will be hosted by Boomer, the Cutters popular mascot, and give children age 14 and under in costume, the opportunity for a fun, safe, trick or treating experience. Over twenty other exhibitors, including some of Boomer’s mascot buddies, are slated to be part of Boomer’s Drive-Thru Trick or Treat.

Crosscutters Vice-President of Marketing and Public Relations Gabe Sinicropi stated, “Due to the overwhelming attendance over the past two years, we have added an extra hour so that we can accommodate as many children as possible.” Over 800 kids passed through the event in 2022.

All participants will be required to stay inside their vehicle as they receive treats from the Williamsport Crosscutters and other area businesses. Those attending are required to enter the Muncy Bank Ballpark lot via the West 4th Fourth Street entrance only. Entry to the stadium property will close at 9pm. All vehicles will exit at the back of the stadium on Blaine Street.

Mason’s Monster Mash Returns to Segra Park October 27

COLUMBIA, SC – The Columbia Fireflies today announced that they will be hosting the second annual Mason’s Monster Mash at Segra Park Thursday, October 27 from 6-8 pm. Mason’s Monster Mash will utilize Segra Park’s outdoor concourse to allow kids to trick-or-treat around the ballpark with family and friends.

In addition to trick-or-treating, there will be crafts for children, a limited concessions menu will be sold including alcoholic beverages for parents, some inflatables from the SCU Kids Zone will be open and Mason will be in costume to take pictures with trick-or-treaters.

General Admission tickets for the event are available for $5 and children two and under can enter for free. Tickets are now available to purchase online here. This event will follow Segra Park’s cashless policy. Mason’s Monster Mash sold out in its inaugural year at 500 attendees and the event is expected to sell out again this year.
