BlueClaws Charities Releases 2019 Community Impact Report

LAKEWOOD, NJ – The Lakewood BlueClaws and BlueClaws Charities have released their 2019 Community Impact Report including information on BlueClaws Charities, presented by DiFeo Kia, grant recipients and club community involvement throughout the year.

“BlueClaws Charities and the entire BlueClaws staff is proud to be a key part of the community throughout the year,” said BlueClaws Team President Joe Ricciutti. “From BlueClaws games themselves to events and fundraising around the area 12 months a year, to supporting a series of tremendous Community Partner organizations, being a leading member of the community is something that we take great pride in. We look forward to expanding our involvement further in 2020!

BlueClaws Charities handed out cash grants to 39 Community Partners in 2019 and all organizations that applied received a grant. These organizations, ranging from local branches of national charities to smaller local organizations, each create a positive impact in the community in a different way.

“Our BlueClaws Charities Community Partner organizations are helping lead the way around the Jersey Shore in working with the underserved and underprivliged around the area,” said BlueClaws Vice President of Community Relations Jim DeAngelis, also the Executive Director of BlueClaws Charities. “We are proud to note that all grant money stays in Ocean & Monmouth Counties and is put to great use locally.

“We thank our great sponsor, DiFeo Kia, and everyone that supported BlueClaws Charities events and fundraising efforts to make these grants possible.”

Grant fundraising included special events, both in and outside the stadium, throughout the year.

In May, the BlueClaws hosted their 19th annual ALS Celebrity Waiter Event, benefiting the ALS Association of Greater Philadelphia, the principal charity of the Phillies. This year’s event was held at Quaker Steak & Lube in Brick. The Celebrity Waiter Event has raised over $120,000 for the ALS Association of Greater Philadelphia in its history.

In August, BlueClaws Charities hosted their annual golf outing at Lakewood Country Club. The 10th annual event, a “Nine and Dine” format, includes golf, dinner, and special auctions plus appearances by BlueClaws players and coaches.

Additional funding came from the nightly 50/50 raffle which took place at all BlueClaws home games. Each pool total averaged over $2,000 with an average of more than $1,000 being returned to winners.

BlueClaws Charities also raised money through BlueClaws jersey auctions during the year. In 2019, the BlueClaws did the following jersey auctions for BlueClaws Charities: Players Day, Grateful Dead, Margaritaville Night at the Park, BruceClaws, Military Appreciation Night, and Pork Roll, Egg & Cheese. A special pink jersey auction on Breast Cancer Awareness Night benefitted the American Cancer Society. Fans were able to bid either online or through a mobile device, enabling bidding from all over the world. This process raised additional funds for BlueClaws Charities and their Community Partners.

The BlueClaws and BlueClaws Charities partner with OceanFirst Bank and OceanFirst Foundation on several programs that benefit area military personnel. The Home Runs for Heroes program, which just completed its 11th year, generates a donation from OceanFirst Foundation to a local military-based non-profit for each BlueClaws home run hit at FirstEnergy Park. In 2019, the program raised $38,000 for local organizations. Further, through the Vets Night Out program, presented by OceanFirst Bank, tickets are donated to military members through accredited channels.

Additional events during the year included a Challenger Clinic at which the developmentally disabled were able to learn baseball from BlueClaws players and Major League alumni. Troop and School Supply Drives were held at the ballpark during games and the 19th annual Breakfast With Buster holiday food and toy drive was held in December, collecting non-perishable food and unwrapped toys to benefit the Salvation Army of Ocean County.

Through the Phillies Step-Up Program, BlueClaws players participated in over 261 hours of community service during the year. This included events at the ballpark and around the community such as a free clinic put on by the Ocean County Parks Department featuring BlueClaws players.

BlueClaws staff members served on event committees for nine different area non-profit organizations. Staff members served on the Board of Directors of seven different non-profit organizations and five Chambers of Commerce.

The BlueClaws fundraising program also proved profitable for area organizations and event committees. In 2019, over $143,000 was raised through the BlueClaws fundraising program, through which organizations purchase BlueClaws tickets and re-sell them to their constituents to raise money. In-Kind donations included ticket vouchers or other contributions to 924 organizations plus 65 additional packages including merchandise or hospitality outings.

BlueClaws Charities is the official 501c3 of the Lakewood BlueClaws. The organization supports its Community Partners in Monmouth and Ocean Counties with cash grants and other organizations with in-kind donations throughout the year.

OceanFirst Foundation Donates $38,000 Through Home Runs for Heroes

LAKEWOOD, NJ – OceanFirst Foundation donated $38,000 to area non-profit organizations and military-based programs through the 2019 Home Runs for Heroes Program. The program is a partnership between the BlueClaws, OceanFirst Foundation, and Townsquare Media.

“We are honored to once again partner with the OceanFirst Foundation for this amazing program,” said BlueClaws Team President Joe Ricciutti. “Our men and women of the military, both veterans and active, risk their lives to keep us safe here at home. This program is a great way to give back and we thank OceanFirst Foundation for their support.”

“The 2019 season was a great success and we’re delighted that BlueClaws home runs resulted in $38,000 of donations by OceanFirst Foundation. This brings our eleven year total awarded through Home Runs for Heroes to $376,000. We thank the BlueClaws organization and Townsquare Media for giving us the opportunity to work together to bring much needed relief to local military families with special needs,” said Katherine Durante, Executive Director of OceanFirst Foundation.

Home Runs for Heroes grants provide financial support to charities that meet the emergency basic needs of veterans and local service men and women – active and retired – and their families during difficult times. Non-profits were paired with each inning of the game and each BlueClaws home run hit at FirstEnergy Park meant a $1,000 donation to the charity (or charities) corresponding with the inning in which the home run was hit.

Breast Cancer Awareness Night a Home Run

The BlueClaws hosted Breast Cancer Awareness Night in conjunction with the American Cancer Society on Thursday night.

LAKEWOOD, NJ – The BlueClaws and the American Cancer Society partnered on a successful Breast Cancer Awareness Night on Thursday at FirstEnergy Park. The event raised money through jersey and hat sales and included special ceremonies honoring survivors.

BlueClaws players and coaches wore special pink jerseys and caps that were auctioned off to benefit the American Cancer Society, netting almost $4,000.

There are a limited number of fitted hats and adjustable hats that are still available in the Claws Cove. All proceeds from these caps will benefit the American Cancer Society. These hats can be purchased online (fitted, adjustable).

“The American Cancer Society was thrilled to partner with the BlueClaws in helping to raise both money and awareness at the game on Thursday,” said Jennifer Lefthand, Senior Manager of Community Development for the American Cancer Society. “It was a special night, attended by many cancer survivors and we look forward to more events like this in the future.”

Additionally, the BlueClaws honored several breast cancer survivors on the field before the game. These honorees were selected from a group of nominees submitted over the previous weeks through BlueClaws.com.

The crowd of 7,986 was the team’s third largest of the season and marked the 18th sell-out crowd of 2019.

The BlueClaws won the game 3-2 on a two-run walk-off home run by Ben Pelletier in the bottom of the ninth inning.

BlueClaws Charities Hosts Nine & Dine Golf Outing

BlueClaws Charities hosted their Nine and Dine Golf Outing at Lakewood Country Club.

LAKEWOOD, NJ – BlueClaws Charities, presented by DiFeo Kia, hosted their 10th annual Nine and Dine charity golf outing on Wednesday at Lakewood Country Club.

The golf outing, which featured BlueClaws players as event VIPs, raises money for BlueClaws Charities and their Community Partner organizations. 44 golfers and nine BlueClaws players attended the event.

BlueClaws Charities works with 40 local Community Partners throughout the year on full marketing and promotional initiatives. At the conclusion of each season, organizations receive a grant after filling out an application detailing the local programs to be supported.

“The BlueClaws Charities Nine & Dine Golf Outing was a hole-in-one,” said Jim DeAngelis, BlueClaws Charities Executive Director. “We’d like to thank our event partners, our outstanding hosts at Lakewood Country Club, and our participants for their continued support. We are already looking forward to our 11th annual outing next year!”

The event’s title sponsor was the Garden State Law Enforcement Officer’s Association. The reception sponsor was The Office Restaurant & Lounge of Toms River. Finally, the cart sponsors were New Jersey Natural Gas, NJR Home Services, and IBEW-Local 400.

Upcoming BlueClaws Charities events include a School Supply Drive at BlueClaws games on August 9th and 16th. Additionally, BlueClaws Charities will host their 50/50 raffle at all remaining BlueClaws home games in 2019.

BlueClaws, Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore Announce Community Partnership

The BlueClaws have announced a partnership with the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore.

The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore and the Lakewood BlueClaws announced an expanded community partnership that includes a Girl Scout Family Night scheduled at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood on Friday, June 21, at 7:05 p.m. Thousands of Girl Scouts of all ages, their families and friends will participate in the evening that will feature activities that showcase programming offered by Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore and the impact those programs make in girls’ lives.

The baseball game is the signature 2019 event of the updated partnership between the Girl Scouts and the BlueClaws. “The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore have always enjoyed the strong support of the BlueClaws,” said Eileen M. Higgins, CEO, Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore. “Our new community partnership takes our collaboration to another level and will directly benefit our girls.”

Staff from both the Girl Scouts and the BlueClaws are working closely together to ensure the game against the West Virginia Power is unlike any other Girl Scout baseball experience. Planned highlights include pre-game and in-game activities such as an on-field parade, contests, exciting Girl Scout exhibitions and post-game fireworks. Gates open for pre-game activities at 6:00 p.m.

“The BlueClaws are very excited to partner with the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore for what promises to be a full night of fun on June 21st,” said BlueClaws Team President Joe Ricciutti. “Girl Scouts and their families from all around the Shore will be able to take part in the best of the BlueClaws – from the boardwalk games, to great food, and fantastic post-game fireworks show!”

Tickets for Girl Scout Night are $11 each and include a hot dog, fountain soda, ice cream and one free boardwalk game. There is an optional on-field overnight open to registered Girl Scouts for an additional $10 and includes a movie, snacks and continental breakfast the following morning. Ticket proceeds will benefit local programs and activities for Girl Scouts from Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

BlueClaws Charities Announces 2018 Grant Recipients

BlueClaws Charities announced the 39 different organizations to receive a grant as part of their 2018 grant distribution.

LAKEWOOD, NJ – BlueClaws Charities completed their 10th annual grant distribution by handing out grants to 39 area organizations, it was announced on Monday.

BlueClaws Charities Community Partner organizations, all 501c3s that work with the BlueClaws throughout the year, were eligible to apply for a grant and all organizations that applied for a grant received one.

Each applicant was asked to detail a specific use for the grant, with the requirement that all money received from BlueClaws Charities stays in Ocean & Monmouth Counties. A complete list can be found below.

“We are very proud to be support such a wide variety of local organizations that do tremendous work as part of the non-profit community around the Jersey Shore,” said Jim DeAngelis, BlueClaws Charities Executive Director. “These organizations are on the ground working with the underserved in our communities, doing spectacular work.

“Further, it is important that all of the grant money donated by BlueClaws Charities stays here in Ocean and Monmouth Counties,” said DeAngelis. ” It is an honor for BlueClaws Charities to be able to assist these great groups doing their work in our local community.”

The following organizations received grants:

– ALS Association of Greater Philadelphia – to subsidize the cost of services for people living with ALS who reside in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
– Alzheimer’s Association – to provide services to people living with Alzheimer’s and their families.
– The Arc, Ocean County Chapter – to provide funding to the Arc programs that support 1,500 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential, vocational, and recreation services throughout the community.
– The Ashley Lauren Foundation – to assist children with cancer and their families through direct family financial assistance.
– Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Ocean County – to continue community mentorship programs in Ocean County.
– Boy Scouts of America, Jersey Shore Council – to provide direct support to the Scoutreach Cub Scout pack at the Clark Elementary School in Lakewood.
– The Brodie Fund – to continue their mission of offering financial assistance to families that have pets fighting cancer.
– Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey – to help defray the cost of criminal background checks completed on all volunteers prior to assignments.
– Cheer Dream Scoliosis Foundation – to enhance the equipment for their special needs team.
– David’s Dream and Believe Cancer Foundation – to offer financial assistance and wellness services to families affected by a cancer diagnosis.
– Dottie’s House – to provide essential counseling to families to become self-sufficient in their futures.
– Easterseals New Jersey – to teach individuals living with disabilities and special needs and their families about health, nutrition, and exercise education.
– Exit 82 Theatre Company – to assist in their 2019 production season.
– Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore – to fund the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore’s outreach program in Ocean County.
– Go 4 The Goal – to support the Kart 4 Kids, a kart stocked with snacks, gift cards, toys, activities, and electronics to entice kids of all ages.
– Guidinglight House – to provide funding for program services for homeless female veterans.
– HABcore, Inc – to help fund the supportive services program component of HABcore’s Rapid Re-Housing Program in Ocean County.
– JAR of Hope – to fund research in the hope of eliminating Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
– Kids Need More – to enhance the lives of children and their families dealing with a diagnosis of cancer or life threatening illness.
– LADACIN Network – to support their Child Care and Preschool Program which integrate children with and without disabilities.
– Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski II Memorial Fund – to provide funds to assist in aiding and assistant wounded warriors and their families.
– The Mya Lin Terry Foundation – to support their Holiday Gifting Campaign to benefit pediatric cancer warriors.
– Northern Ocean County Habitat for Humanity – to provide necessary repairs and modifications to a senior’s home through their Aging in Place program.
– Ocean County Family Support Organization – to offset the costs of trips for their Youth Partnerships Program.
– Ocean County Shrine Club – to expand and upgrade the hospital’s Walk-in and Urgent Pediatric Fracture Clinic.
– Ocean County YMCA – to support kids, families, and seniors through the Y-Cares Financial Assistance Program such that they will be able to benefit from membership regardless of their financial resources.
– Ocean’s Harbor House – to replace aging computers in their Emergency Youth Shelter.
– Ocean Partnership for Children – to provide needed equipment for the agency’s consulting psychiatrist to use with the youth being seen, as well as to provide books, sensory materials, and toys for the waiting room and psychiatrist’s meeting space.
– Piece of the Puzzle – to produce a Corner Cafe vocational curriculum for students with autism.
– Parents of Autistic Children – to provide a challenger sports league designed to offer a socialization opportunity between disabled students along with typically developing peers from across Ocean and Monmouth Counties.
– Probation Association of New Jersey Education Fund – to enhance education training opportunities through the operation of their annual training conference.
– Raising Hope for Others – to offset the cost of their August fundraiser.
– RJM Sportsgroup – to help raise money for scholarships for students who belong to the Jackson School District.
– The Salvation Army of Ocean County – to help fund their weekly soup kitchen meal, which serves 50-100 meals each week.
– Seabrook Village – to provide scholarships to eligible student employees who graduate high school and are participating in a form of higher education.
– Society for Prevention of Teen Suicide – support Ocean County Youth Council programming for the 2018-19 academic year by engaging youth ambassadors in the prevention process and working on suicide prevention projects.
– The TEARS Foundation – to provide assistance to families who have lost a child due to pregnancy or infant loss in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
– Tom Giannattasio Jr. Memorial Fund – to provide scholarships to graduating seniors residing in Brick Township.
– United Way of Monmouth & Ocean Counties – to purchase warm clothing for low-income children.

Money is raised for BlueClaws Charities throughout the year including through a nightly 50/50 raffle at all BlueClaws home games, special jersey auctions, and events like the Nine and Dine golf outing.

BlueClaws Charities, in addition to this grant program, supports hundreds local organizations and fundraising events with gift package donations, golf outing hole-in-one sponsorships, and specialty organizations such as OCEAN, Inc., a federal program that assists the less fortunate in the community. The “Tickets for Kids Program,” another BlueClaws Charities initiative, donates over 2,000 tickets to under-served youths in Lakewood and elsewhere in Ocean County.

Other events hosted by BlueClaws Charities include a Challenger Clinic for the developmentally disabled, a food & toy drive during the holiday season, a school supply drive leading into the fall, and baseball camps for the underserved in conjunction with the MLB Players Association.

OceanFirst Foundation Donates $78,000 Through Home Runs for Heroes Program

The 2018 Home Runs for Heroes program has now generated over $300,000 in 10 years for area non-profits thanks to the OceanFirst Foundation!

The OceanFirst Foundation donated $78,000 to area non-profit organizations as part of the Home Runs for Heroes program in 2018.

Each time the BlueClaws hit a home run at FirstEnergy Park this year, the organization(s) paired with the corresponding inning received $1,000 from OceanFirst Foundation. The program has now raised over $300,000 in 10 years for local organizations that support military-personnel, both veterans and active.

The BlueClaws hit a franchise record 44 home runs at FirstEnergy Park this year, but because four innings featured two different organizations, home runs hit in the second, third, fourth and fifth innings each generated $2,000 in donations.

Military Appreciation Night, Troop Supply Drive on June 14th

Military Appreciation Night on June 14th includes a Troop Supply Drive.

LAKEWOOD, NJ – The BlueClaws will be hosting their annual Military Appreciation Night and Troop Supply Drive, presented by OceanFirst Bank, at the game on Thursday, June 14th. First pitch is at 7:05 pm.

There will be both pre-game and in-game ceremonies honoring members of the armed forces. A Black Hawk Helicopter will be stationed on the Great Lawn in front of the ballpark for pictures with fans.

Additionally, the BlueClaws will once again be collecting items for their Troop Supply Drive. Boxes will be set up for the Troop Supply and Care Package Drive in the front of the ballpark and fans are encouraged to donate razors, snacks, baby wipes, shampoo, soap, non-chocolate candies and sweets, sun block with SPF 40+, lip balm, writing utensils, silly string, deodorant, tissues, q-tips, white socks, batteries, insect repellent, and flashlights.

The BlueClaws will also be collecting, as always, gently used cell phones at the New Jersey Natural Gas Information Booth to benefit Cell Phones for Soldiers.

This supply and care package drive is in conjunction with the Monmouth-Ocean Central Labor Council Military Committee, Monmouth-Ocean Building Trade Council, National Guard, Toms River Armory, A.R.M.S, and IBEW Local 400 Military Committee.

Vets Night Out – Through the BlueClaws Vets Night Out program, presented by OceanFirst Bank, fans can donate tickets that will be given directly to veterans to enjoy BlueClaws games on June 14th and August 21st this year. In addition, former Yankee Bucky Dent will be signing autographs at the game. Dent hit one of the most famous home runs in baseball history to win a one-game playoff against the Red Sox in 1978. His signing will begin at 6 pm when the gates open.

Bucky Dent VIP Express Pass – A VIP Express Pass lets holders skip the main autograph line. Please note when ordering that the VIP Line price includes a game ticket ($23 adults, $20 junior/senior).

The BlueClaws are hosting a Blood Drive on Saturday, May 12th.

LAKEWOOD, NJ – The BlueClaws and Central Jersey Blood Center are teaming up for a blood drive on Saturday, May 12th from 8 am – 1 pm at FirstEnergy Park.The drive will take place in the BlueClaws Executive Conference Center and each donor will receive a pair of tickets for a 2018 BlueClaws game.

The BlueClaws encourage all fans to donate as the supply of blood needs to be replenished at this time.

While walk-ins are accepted, donors are encouraged to pre-register. To sign up, call 888-71-BLOOD or click here to register online.

Don’t Forget: Please eat before donating. All equipment used during the procedure is sterile and disposable. Donors must be healthy, be at least 16 years of age and weigh at least 120 pounds. Donors must present signature ID.

Allergy Awareness Day, With Ballpark Nut Free, on May 9th

Allergy Awareness Day, a day where FirstEnergy Park goes “Nut Free” for those with food allergies, is Wednesday, May 9th.

LAKEWOOD, NJ – The BlueClaws will host an “Allergy Awareness Day” at FirstEnergy Park on Wednesday, May 9th at the team’s 6:35 pm game against Charleston (Yankees) which includes the ballpark being nut free for this game only.

At this game, the BlueClaws will not be selling or distributing any products that contain peanuts, and no peanut products will be used in food preparation or available for sale (peanuts, Cracker Jacks, etc.), giving those with peanut-allergies the chance to experience BlueClaws baseball!

“The BlueClaws are pleased to be able to offer this night for those around the Jersey Shore impacted by allergies,” said Jim McNamara, BlueClaws Vice President of Tickets. “We want everyone around the area to have to opportunity to enjoy BlueClaws baseball and look forward to a great night.”

This year, the BlueClaws unveiled a new Mini Golf Course down the right field line and the Toyota World Home Run Pavilion opened in centerfiled. The Home Run Pavilion includes traditional boardwalk games like Hoop Shot, Cat Rack, Balloon Darts, as well as a Sweet Shop with traditional boardwalk favorites.

Nominations Being Accepted for Most Valuable Teacher Program

Most Valuable Teacher Night is Friday, June 15th.

The BlueClaws honor Most Improved Students every year, but this year, the BlueClaws and the NJEA are partnering to honor Most Valuable Teachers at the game on Friday, June 15th.

Teachers can be nominated by students, parents of students, fellow teachers, principals, or other administrators.

How to Nominate: Click here to fill out a nomination form. Plus, the BlueClaws encourage nominators to email videos to MVT@blueclaws.com. Video submissions, where the student talks about why their teacher is a Most Valuable Teacher, could be used on the BlueClaws video board the day of the ceremony.

“Teachers are the bedrock of our education system and we want to recognize their achievements this spring,” said BlueClaws General Manager Joe Ricciutti. “This event, honoring the top teachers at the Jersey Shore, is extra special since we are taking the nominations and videos from the students and parents themselves.”

Upon nomination, teachers will be contacted through their schools. Each teacher will receive a complimentary ticket to the BlueClaws game on June 15th and will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony.

The Friday, June 15th game also includes post-game fireworks thanks to New Jersey Natural Gas.

Donate Tickets to Veterans Through Vets Night Out

The BlueClaws are parterning with OceanFirst Bank on Vets Night Out, a program that donates tickets for local military personnel, both veterans and active.

LAKEWOOD, NJ – The BlueClaws and OceanFirst Bank have partnered on Vets Night Out, a program through which fans can donate tickets that will be given directly to veterans to enjoy BlueClaws games on June 14th and August 21st this year.

There are four levels of donation: Red, White, Blue, and Eagle, with each level including varying degrees of benefits.

  • Red – A $100 donation includes 10 tickets for veterans. Each donor receives on-field recognition and two tickets to the games on June 14th and August 21st.
  • White – A $250 donation includes 25 tickets for veterans. Each donor receives on-field and website recognition plus four tickets to the games on June 14th and August 21st.
  • Blue – A $500 donation includes 50 tickets for veterans. Each donor receives on-field and website recognition, an exclusive Field Day (date TBD), and eight tickets to the games on June 14th and August 21st.
  • Eagle – A $1,000 donation gives 100 tickets for veterans. Each donor receives on-field and website recognition, an exclusive Field Day (date TBD), and a BlueClaws Luxury Suite outing (for 20) either Labor Day Weekend or to an April/May game in 2019 (dates are subject to availability).

“The BlueClaws are proud to work with the area business community to support veterans and active military personnel,” said Joe Ricciutti, BlueClaws President & General Manager.

“We also recognize that while their loved ones are serving on active duty, there is often a family stationed at one of our great military bases, worried and waiting for them to safely return. We wanted to also give them an opportunity to enjoy a night with the BlueClaws. We want to be a place where families can go to put the real world on the back burner, even for just a few hours, and enjoy some baseball, mini golf, boardwalk games, ice cream and family time.”

All tickets for veterans will be donated through certified programs and directly through Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.

Bowling With The BlueClaws Returns April 15th

Bowling With The BlueClaws is back on Sunday, April 15th!

LAKEWOOD, NJ – BlueClaws Charities is proud to announce its seventh annual Bowling With The BlueClaws fundraising event returns to Sea Girt Lanes on Sunday, April 15th. BlueClaws players will again be at the event, a great chance for kids to have a fun night out with players and Buster while raising money for a worthy cause.

The charitable bowling event takes place from 6-8pm. For just $15, participants will receive bowling shoes, a raffle ticket for a series of prizes, pizza and soda, and unlimited bowling games.

Raffles will be held throughout the night for limited edition autographed merchandise and other door prizes. In addition to prizes being given out, BlueClaws players will be there to hang out with you! All proceeds from the night will benefit BlueClaws Charities and their Community Partners.

“This has been a great event for BlueClaws Charities and the fans over the last seven years and we look forward to another great event,” said Jim DeAngelis, Executive Director of BlueClaws Charities. “Each fundraising event like Bowling With the BlueClaws benefits a wide variety of local organizations that we are proud to support and will continue to support.”

Sign Up For 2018 BlueClaws Youth Baseball Camp

Young players can learn the game from the BlueClaws players at one of three Youth Baseball Camp Sessions this summer.

LAKEWOOD, NJ – Learn the game from BlueClaws players each day as part of the BlueClaws Youth Baseball Camp at FirstEnergy Park. The BlueClaws will hold three sessions this summer, with each session including three days of instruction from a variety of BlueClaws players.

Camp each day runs from 9 am – 12 pm and includes lunch from 12 pm – 12:30 pm, an autograph session with BlueClaws players on the last day of camp, BlueClaws merchandise, and one ticket to the September 1st BlueClaws game with a pre-game parade on the field.

The camp will cover all aspects of the game, with emphasis on hitting, base running, fielding, throwing, pitching, and position work. The objective of the camp is to instill the fundamentals of baseball, promote good sportsmanship, and create an enjoyable learning atmosphere for all.

Session 1: July 12 – 14
Session 2: July 24, 26, & 27
Session 3: August 16-18

Each session is just $140.
