SRP Park Hosts 9th Annual Auggie’s Holiday BUZZar & Toys for Tots Drive

Get into the Holiday Spirit December 10th at SRP Park

NORTH AUGUSTA, SC – The Augusta GreenJackets, Single-A Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves are excited to continue Auggie’s Holiday BUZZar for the 9th year on Saturday December 10th at SRP Park from 10am-1pm. This is one of our most popular community events and we look forward to decking the park in holiday cheer!

Auggie’s Holiday BUZZar is a free event for individuals and families, dogs are welcome to attend (remaining on the concourse). Shop local as over 50 small CSRA businesses and individuals will be set up on the concourse to wrap up your Holiday shopping. Guests can have their picture taken with Santa in the Hive Pro Shop, and of course Auggie will be present for photos and holiday cheer. The North Augusta School of Dance returns, showcasing their holiday dance moves at 10:30am, 11:30am, and 12:30pm.

New this holiday season, guests can participate in the Hot Chocolate 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk, partnered with Fleet Feet of Augusta. This unique race allows you SRP Park field access to take a jog around the warning track four times and grab a nice Hot Chocolate at the finish line. Grab your best Ugly Sweater for a contest prior to the race. The run is FREE to all, strollers are allowed, however dogs are not permitted on the field for the run.

“We’re excited to continue this favorite holiday event to wrap up the year,” states GreenJackets Director of Marketing, Catie Jagodzinski. “We look forward to this event each holiday season and the fun it brings to SRP Park. With so many wonderful vendors, North Augusta School of Dance, our new partnership with Fleet Feet Augusta and appearances by Auggie and Santa, it’s an excellent Saturday afternoon event!”

SRP Park is also a Toys to Tots location and guests can bring new, unwrapped gifts to be donated to an amazing cause and be entered to win prizes. Shepeard Community Blood Center will be present for those interested in donating during the event. All donors will receive a FREE t-shirt for their donation. Concessions will be available featuring your fan favorite menu items and cold beverages. Stock up for the fan in your life as the Hive Pro Shop will be open with holiday specials and new merchandise available for the GreenJackets fan on your shopping list.

Annual #CSRAWalk4Water Raises Awareness and Funds to Support the 2.1 Billion People Around the World that Lack Access to Safe Water

NORTH AUGUSTA, SC – The CSRA is uniting to bring safe water to hundreds of men, women, and children across the world. Local schools, churches, businesses, and individuals are putting their feet into action by raising awareness, raising money, and walking for water.

The CSRA Walk for Water 2022 will bring together teams of participants from both sides of the Savannah River and from all walks of life, as we boldly battle the global water crisis which affects 2.1 billion people around the world. Together, we can make a real difference by bringing safe water to people in need. Register or donate today. The walk starts at 9 AM (gates open at 8 AM).
Walk will take place RAIN or SHINE.

Event Details

Who: Teams and Individuals throughout the CSRA are invited to participate in the CSRA Walk for Water

When: Saturday, November 12th, 2022

Where: SRP Park, 187 Railroad Ave, North Augusta, SC 29841

Why: Hundreds will rally together to bring hope to those who lack access to safe water by participating in the 4th annual CSRA Walk for Water. The CSRA Walk for Water encourages participants to carry buckets along the three-mile route to simulate the daily trek millions of people make to collect water in developing countries. Start and finish at SRP Park, North Augusta, SC. The route of the Walk will cross the 13th Street Bridge. Then via Riverwalk, participants will proceed to 6th Street, then to St. Paul’s Church. From St. Paul’s, they will continue to Reynolds Street before returning to the 13th Street Bridge, with the finish being at SRP Park.

Time: Gates open at 8am, Walk begins at 9:00 a.m.

Registration: $25 for adults includes t-shirt, $10 for youth, children six and under are free

Impact: In many areas of the globe, women and children spend 2-3 hours walking to collect water every day. In most cases, their walk is one to four miles, and the water they collect is not safe for drinking. At the 2021 CSRA Walk for Water, we will walk in honor of our neighbors worldwide who walk to collect water every day and raise funds to bring safe, clean water to communities around the world in a sustainable way.

Free Baseball Clinic at SRP Park on October 29th

NORTH AUGUSTA, SC – The Augusta GreenJackets, Single-A Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, in conjunction with Complete Game, are excited to announce the 9th Annual Line Drive Canned Food Drive FREE Baseball Clinic in memory of Terry Childers Sr. on Saturday, October 29th from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm.

“We are honored to be able to host this annual tradition in partnership with Matt Childers, the Childers Family and Complete Game,” stated GreenJackets Vice President Tom Denlinger. “No matter what your skill level we invite you to come take advantage of a morning full of FREE professional instruction, bring canned food to help us stuff the bins for Golden Harvest and celebrate the legacy of Terry Childers Sr.”

In memory of Terry Childers Sr., families across the CSRA are invited to come and take part in this FREE clinic & Canned Food Drive benefiting Golden Harvest Food Bank. Families are encouraged to bring canned goods and other non-perishable food items to be donated to Golden Harvest Food Bank, who will be on site to collect.

You can also bring items anytime between now and October 29th to the Complete Game facility at 3855 Washington Rd or to the Hive Pro Shop at SRP Park (187 Railroad Avenue, North Augusta). You do not have to participate in the clinic to bring food donations! Over the past Eight years, 3,000 meals have been collected with over 4,100 lbs. of donated goods! Come join us for this awesome event in our community!

Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Technology night announced

In Partnership with Augusta Technical College, SRP Park to Host September 2nd

North Augusta, SC – The Augusta GreenJackets, Single-A Affiliate Carolina League of the Atlanta Braves, in partnership with Augusta Technical College and the WORC Grant are excited to announce the 2nd Annual Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Technology Night at SRP Park. Students and families are encouraged to join us on Friday, September 2nd as the GreenJackets kick off Fan Appreciation Weekend against the Salem Red Sox (Red Sox). Gates open at 6:00pm and the first 1,000 fans will receive a collector’s Cup Giveaway presented by Augusta Technical College as well as access to the Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Technology Fair on the main concourse.

The Inaugural Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Technology Night was a success and we look forward to building on the momentum with this year’s event! This evening provides K-12 students throughout the CSRA and their parents a unique look into the world of STEM education and opportunities. Participating exhibitors will allow students to receive a hands-on experience with virtual and augmented reality, robotics, 3D animation and printers, and so much more! The evening festivities will kick off at 6 pm. Upon arrival at SRP Park, students are invited to check in at the Young Innovator’s Club table to receive a checklist to visit each vendor set up on the concourse. Upon completion, turn-in your checklist at Guest Relations Booth – located by the main entrance on the concourse (next to the Beestro) – and they will receive a collector’s T-shirt.

“We are excited to partner with Augusta Technical College to build upon the success of this event from last season,” stated GreenJackets Vice President Tom Denlinger. “We invite K-12 students and parents to come and check out the many great exhibitors on the main concourse while enjoying the last weekend of GreenJackets Baseball.”

Throughout the game, guests will be able to see the amazing technology, talent and work experiences that make up the exciting new world of Advanced Manufacturing in the CSRA. All the activities and exhibits are being planned to share that story, and the evening programming and entertainment will be designed to open the eyes of young people who represent the future manufacturing workforce.

Educators and manufacturers supporting this event include: Amazon, Augusta Technical College Augusta Economic Development Authority, Bridgestone, Carole Fabrics, Ingevity, SRNS, Technical Training Aids, Textron and others will be on hand with exhibits.

NORTH AUGUSTA, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets, Single-A Carolina League affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, are excited to announce that on Tuesday, August 30th, while the GreenJackets take on the Salem Red Sox (Red Sox) at 7:05 p.m., SRP Park will play host to the 2022 CSRA Job & Career Fair from 6-8 p.m. Fans who bring a resume to the SRP Park Box Office can get a $5 General Admission/Standing Room Only ticket which will gain them admission into the ballpark for both the GreenJackets game, and the Job & Career Fair.

“We look forward to hosting this annual event at SRP Park to showcase the great employment and career opportunities throughout the region,” stated GreenJackets Vice President Tom Denlinger. “This is going to be a unique event where GreenJackets guests can not only enjoy an entertaining night of baseball, but they will also have the opportunity to see opportunities available in the region and network with local businesses and colleges in the CSRA.”

School Supply Drive to Benefit the United Way of the CSRA

NORTH AUGUSTA, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets, Single-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, in conjunction with SRP Federal Credit Union and WOW! Internet, TV & Phone (NYSE: WOW), a leading broadband services provider, are excited to host the Stuff the Bus Annual School Supply Drive at SRP Park on Sunday, July 17th. The Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive will go to benefit United Way of the CSRA.

The GreenJackets in partnership with SRP Federal Credit Union and WOW! Internet, TV & Phone are calling for the CSRA to come out to SRP Park ready to donate back to school supplies for students in need. Fans that bring school supplies to the GreenJackets game, will receive a voucher good for a FREE hot dog (one per person) as well as be entered to win an Apple TV Device courtesy of WOW! as well as a game-worn jersey to be given away at the game!

Free Baseball Clinic at SRP Park on November 13th

NORTH AUGUSTA, SC – The Augusta GreenJackets, Single-A Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, in conjunction with Complete Game, are excited to announce the 8th Annual Line Drive Canned Food Drive FREE Baseball Clinic in memory of Terry Childers Sr. on Saturday, November 13th from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm.

“We are excited to bring back the 8th Annual Line Drive Canned Food Drive and FREE Baseball Clinic to SRP Park in 2021,” stated GreenJackets Vice President Tom Denlinger. “This is a morning full of great professional instruction, an opportunity to help Golden Harvest Food Bank and a time to celebrate the legacy of Terry Childers Sr. It’s our privilege to work with Matt and the Childers family to play a small roll in this growing annual event.

In memory of Terry Childers Sr., families across the CSRA are invited to come and take part in this FREE clinic & Canned Food Drive benefiting Golden Harvest Food Bank. Families are encouraged to bring canned goods and other non-perishable food items to be donated to Golden Harvest Food Bank, who will be on site to collect.

You can also bring items anytime between now and Nov. 13th to the Complete Game facility at 3855 Washington Rd. You do not have to participate in the clinic to bring food donations! North Augusta, SC – The Augusta GreenJackets, Single-A Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, in partnership with Augusta Technical College is excited to announce the inaugural Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Night at SRP Park on Friday, September 10as a part of the baseball game against the Columbia FireFlies (Kansas City Royals). The first 1,000 fans will receive a collector’s Hot Prospect Poster Giveaway presented by Augusta Technical College.

“Augusta Technical College is proud to partner with the Augusta GreenJackets and regional manufacturers to expose K-12 students and families about the great careers available in our marketplace” stated college president Dr. Jermaine Whirl. “Advanced manufacturing is a multibillion-dollar industry throughout the CSRA, and we want to ensure we have a pipeline of talent that will keep this region prosperous for years to come.”

This new signature event provides K-12 students throughout the CSRA and their parents a unique look into the world of STEM education and opportunities. Participating exhibitors will allow students to receive a hands-on experience with virtual and augmented reality, robotics, 3D animation and printers, and so much more! GREENJACKETS UNVEIL FULL HIGH SCHOOL SHOWCASE SCHEDULE

FOUR GAMES ANNOUNCED FOR 2020 SRP PARK HIGH SCHOOL SHOWCASE

NORTH AUGUSTA, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, announced a slate of four games in the 2020 SRP Park High School Showcase. The showcase will feature some of the top high school baseball programs in the CSRA.

“We are so excited to host these teams and their fans for the 2020 High School School Showcase,” stated GreenJackets Vice President Tom Denlinger. “We know the combination of quality local baseball and our beautiful facility will make these games memorable events for the entire community.”

· March 12 – Westside High School vs. Academy of Richmond County at 5:30 p.m.

· March 20 – Aquinas High School vs. Glascock County High School at 6:30 p.m.

· March 23 – Strom Thurmond High School vs. Grovetown High School at 6:00 p.m.

· March 24 – North Augusta High School vs. South Aiken High School at 7:05 p.m.

Tickets are on sale now for the March 12 showcase opener between Westside and Richmond County and can be purchased at the respective schools or at the SRP Park gate on the day of the game. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. and parking will be available in the Hotel Parking Deck under regular Riverside Village parking rates.

General admission tickets for the March 24 matchup between North Augusta and South Aiken will go on sale for $5 on March 13th at the respective schools. SRP Park gates open at 6:00 p.m. and parking will be available at that time in the Hotel Parking Deck for a $1 donation.

NORTH AUGUSTA, SC – The Augusta GreenJackets, Single ‘A’ Affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, will be hosting two job fairs for 2020 seasonal positions. Applicants interested can attend either event. The GreenJackets are looking for dedicated and reliable personnel with a variety of skill sets and personalities, but most importantly, they are looking for individuals who can provide a positive and fun experience for guests of all ages.

“As we enter year three at SRP Park, we are looking for applicants to join our team and continue to build upon the experience we offer,” stated Vice President, Tom Denlinger. “From the moment fans enter the gates, our game day staff makes an immediate impact offering our fans a memorable experience all year long.”

The first Job Fair will take place Thursday, February 6th at First Baptist Church of North Augusta from 4pm-7pm, and the second will be Saturday, February 8th at SRP Park in the WOW! Club Level from 10am-1pm. Interviews will take place on the spot for the positions below. Everyone interested in applying is encouraged to attend. There are 70 home games at SRP Park and many additional events that take place starting in March and running throughout the year.

2019 CSRA Job Fair set for Tuesday, August 20th

NORTH AUGUSTA, SC: The Augusta GreenJackets, South Atlantic League affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, are excited to announce that on August 20th, while the GreenJackets take on the Asheville Tourists at 7:05 p.m., SRP Park will also play host to the 2019 CSRA Job Fair from 6-8 p.m. Fans who bring a resume to the SRP Park Box Office can get a $5 General Admission/Standing Room Only ticket which will gain them admission into the ballpark for both the ‘Jackets game, and the Job Fair.

“We are really excited to be hosting the 2019 Job Fair with so many tremendous businesses scheduled to attend,” GreenJackets Vice President Tom Denlinger said. “This is going to be a dynamic event where GreenJackets fans can not only enjoy an entertaining night of baseball, but they will also have the opportunity to network with local businesses in the CSRA.”

Businesses from the CSRA that are scheduled to attend include: Augusta Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Augusta University Health, Augusta University, Bridgestone, Corsica Technologies, E-Z-GO, Georgia National Guard, Jani-King, MAU Workforce Solutions, SRP Federal Credit Union, TaxSlayer, T-Mobile, Unisys, WOW! Internet, Cable & Phone and more.

It will also be Tuesday Brew & Q presented by Maurice’s Piggie Park. BBQ Sliders will cost just $3 and select beers will also be only $3. Fans can watch the GreenJackets continue their quest for a playoff berth as they take on the rival Asheville Tourists (Colorado Rockies). Tuesday also features a GreenJacket Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

4th Annual Line Drive Canned Food Drive

AUGUSTA, GA – The Augusta GreenJackets, Single-A Affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, in conjunction with Platinum Sports and Complete Game are excited to announce the 4th Annual Line Drive Canned Food Drive FREE Baseball Clinic in memory of Terry Childers Senior on Saturday, November 4th from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.

“We invite the CSRA to come out to Lake Olmstead Stadium, receive professional instruction and support a great cause”, stated GreenJackets Vice President Tom Denlinger. “Help us gather lots of canned goods and receive professional instruction from Platinum Sports and Complete Game.”

In memory of Terry Childers Sr., families across the CSRA are invited to come and take part in this FREE clinic benefiting Golden Harvest Food Bank. Families are encouraged to bring canned goods and other non-perishable food items to be donated to Golden Harvest Food Bank who will be on site to collect.

You can also bring items anytime between now and Nov. 4th to the Platinum Sports & Complete Game facility at 3855 Washington Rd. You do not have to participate in the clinic to bring food donations! Over the past three years, 1,209 meals have been raised with 1,449lbs of Donated goods! Come join us for this awesome event for our community!
