
RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond Flying Squirrels are hosting a job fair on Thursday at The Diamond to fill positions in food & beverage, retail and other areas for their home games at The Diamond throughout the spring and summer.
The job fair will take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday at The Diamond (3001 N Arthur Ashe Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23230). Interested candidates can enter the stadium through the main gates next to Arthur Ashe Boulevard.
“We are off to a fantastic start to the 2021 season, but in order to serve the increased anticipated crowds as the summer goes on, we are in need of more part-time employees to help us make positive memories with our fan base,” Flying Squirrels CEO Todd “Parney” Parnell said. “The Squirrels are a family and The Diamond is a unique, fun place to work. We hope that many folks will visit our job fair on Thursday and join the Squirrels family as we continue to help the community heal from the pandemic.”

Portland, Maine– The Portland Sea Dogs will host a job fair to hire part-time seasonal employees for the 2021 season on Friday, May 21st from noon to 4:00 PM at Hadlock Field.

The Pensacola Blue Wahoos, in partnership with the Florida Department of Health in Escambia County, will offer free COVID-19 vaccines to fans at their games on Tuesday, May 11th, Saturday, May 15th, and Sunday, May 16th. Single-shot vaccines will be available to medically-eligible fans ages 18 and up and will be administered by Department of Health nurses.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are continuing to build their team with baseball back underway at 121 Financial Ballpark. The club will hold a pair of job fairs for 2021 game day positions from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, and Wednesday, May 19 at the ballpark.
INDIANAPOLIS – Today on Mother’s Day, Indianapolis Indians Charities (IIC) donated $2,000 to the Riley Children’s Cancer Center in support of Indians pitchers Geoff Hartlieb and Cody Ponce. Both men lost their mothers to cancer – Hartlieb’s mom, Wendy, passed away from lung cancer in April 2015, and Ponce’s mom, Jennifer, died in Dec. 2017 from Stage 4 brain cancer. One-thousand dollars went to programs related to mothers of children undergoing cancer treatment in honor of Wendy Hartlieb and another $1,000 went toward brain cancer research in honor of Jennifer Ponce.
The Missoula PaddleHeads, in conjunction with YWCA Missoula, have announced the fundraising campaign “Swing Big for Kids” to support the YWCA Youth Activities Program and to “let kids be kids” despite experiencing homelessness and/or domestic violence. The fundraising campaign, will receive a PaddleHeads’ $1-for-$1 match, up to $25,000. The “Swing Big for Kids” campaign will run from May 6th to May 21st.
Supporters will have two ways/timeframes to donate to the YWCA Missoula Youth Activities Program.

Suite 6 on the Geisinger Champions Club Level will be redesigned as a fun, accommodating and functional space for families with children on the autism spectrum and with special needs to help better enjoy the game.
