TinCaps, Parkview Health to Host Men’s Health Event

Fifth Third Bank To Give Fans Tickets In Support Of Healthy Living And Cancer Awareness

Fort-Wayne-TinCaps-LogoThe TinCaps, Parkview Health, and Fifth Third Bank are teaming together to help keep men healthy. During Fort Wayne’s game on Wednesday, August 20, as well as during the day on Thursday, August 21, Parkview Field is set to host a free “Keeping Men Healthy” event. All men who receive a PSA Blood Screening will receive two free tickets to a future TinCaps game, compliments of Fifth Third Bank in support of healthy living and cancer awareness.

The event will be held in Parkview Field’s Lincoln Financial Event Center during Wednesday’s 7:05 p.m. game against the Great Lakes Loons (L.A. Dodgers affiliate).

For fans who can’t make Wednesday’s game, “Keeping Men Healthy” also will take place on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Services offered at the event by Parkview include:

  • PSA Testing
  • Blood Pressure Reading
  • Glucose Check
  • Height, weight, and BMI
  • Skin Screenings

There will be other screenings and prevention information as well. Fans will also have the opportunity to meet physicians from Parkview Physicians Group – Urology and Parkview Physicians Group – Colon & Rectal Surgery.

Sand Gnats Team President to Get Prostate Exam While Singing ‘Take Me Out to the Ballgame’

Savannah-Sand-GnatsThe Savannah Sand Gnats will be raising awareness for cancer during their game on Saturday, August 16, at Historic Grayson Stadium as part of Prostate Cancer Awareness Night. Sand Gnats team president John Katz will receive a prostate exam while singing the seventh inning stretch classic, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”

Ed Randalls BFTC logoKatz was nominated as the next participant among baseball executives to help raise awareness for cancer by “Playing it Forward.” Myrtle Beach Pelicans vice president and general manager Andy Milovich first received a prostate exam during a Pelicans game and then nominated Lake Elsinore Storm president Dave Oster to take the challenge. Oster complied, and challenged Charleston RiverDogs general manager Dave Echols to do the same. Echols used the “Two Knuckle Challenge” to gain Facebook “likes” for “Fierce Fallon,” a page dedicated to fundraising for nine-year-old cancer patient Fallon Emery of Carolina Forest, S.C.

“Prostate Cancer is the most common cancer among men after skin cancer,” said Katz. “Early detection and treatment leads to high survival and cure rates.”

Katz, 44, has never been known to back down from a challenge. He enlisted his physician, Dr. John Barrett, to lend a “helping hand” and administer the exam.

The Sand Gnats will continue that trend, asking to gain Facebook “likes” for “Fierce Fallon,” as well as “Team Alexa- Fight Back.” Alexa, a five-year-old brain tumor patient, formed a close connection with several Sand Gnats players during a recent hospital visit, and spent the day Tuesday playing with her new friends at the ballpark.

“I’m proud to have the opportunity to raise awareness for Fallon and Alexa,” Katz added. “Ed Randall’s Bat for the Cure has made amazing strides in educating men about prostate cancer, and I am honored to do my part and take one for the team.”

Ed Randall’s Bat for the Cure organization will also be on hand, distributing information on prostate cancer and the importance of screening for the dangerous disease. A Sand Gnats team autographed baseball bat will be raffled off by Ed Randall’s Bat for the Cure.

The Gnats will be taking on the Greenville Drive with a first pitch of 6:05 p.m. Gates to Historic Grayson Stadium will open at 5:00 p.m. Fans can stay after the game for a spectacular fireworks display brought to you by Pruitt Health.

Dragons to Host 2014 Anthem Health and Fitness Carnival

Dayton-DragonsOn Sunday, August 17, the plaza outside Fifth Third Field will host a multitude of fun, free activities as a part of the annual Anthem Health & Fitness Carnival. This annual event is a great opportunity for parents and their children to learn about healthy lifestyles, grab some cool giveaways and enjoy a day of family fun at Fifth Third Field.

The Dragons take on the Bowling Green Hot Rods at 2:00 p.m. that afternoon, but as early as 12:30 p.m., fans can come to the plaza to enjoy FREE health screenings, chair massages, airbrush tattoos, balloon animals, raffle prizes including a fitbit flex, free bike helmets for the first 100 kids (ages 5-12), inflatable games, and much more, courtesy of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Kettering Health Network. Dragons mascots Heater and Gem will be in attendance, as well. The carnival will run until 2:30 p.m.

We’re not talking about a RiverDogs baseball game, but “Downward Facing RiverDog” yoga on the field.

Led by internationally-acclaimed instructor Kathryn Budig, the Charleston RiverDogs will host “Downward Facing RiverDog,” a yoga class that will be held on Riley Park’s emerald green grass. From the downward facing dog post to the firefly pose, all levels of yoga are welcome.

Poses-for-Paws“The class will be playful and accessibly challenging,” says Kathryn Budig.

Tickets are $10 in advance and may be purchased online at rileyparkevents.com or at the Riley Park box office. Tickets are $15 at the gate. Gates open at 9 am, Class from 10-11 am.

Downward Facing RiverDog will benefit “Poses for Paws,” an organization co-founded by Budig that is dedicated to raising money for animal shelters through yoga.

Budig trained and taught yoga in Los Angeles for eight years under the guidance of Maty Ezraty and now travels the world. Her playful mixture of challenging classes with her positive personality is the recipe for a truly inspiring class. As an avid food lover, she is also passionate about sharing healthy, organic and eco-friendly recipes.

Budig shares her zest for life, yoga and food as the Women’s Health Magazine yoga expert along with her contributor writings for The Huffington Post, Yoga Journal, Gaiam, The Daily Love and MindBodyGreen. She’s been seen on the covers of Yoga Journal, Yoga International, Om Yoga and Common Ground. Budig has been featured on E! Stand Up To Cancer Night presented by Fifth Third Bank

Fort-Wayne-TinCaps-LogoThe TinCaps welcome all fans to help raise awareness and funds for cancer research during their game at Parkview Field on Wednesday, August 20 at 7:05 p.m. against Great Lakes for Stand Up To Cancer Night, presented by Fifth Third Bank. Since partnering with Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) a little more than a year ago, Fifth Third Bank has donated nearly $2.3 million to help fund breakthrough cancer research and aims to help raise more money to fight cancer with the TinCaps.

Stand-Up-to-CancerFans who attend that night can get in on the action as well. Fans will be able to take a photo of themselves with a SU2C check. Sharing that photo on social media with the hashtag of #paytotheorderof will result in $1 being donated to SU2C by Fifth Third Bank. Fans can also recognize loved ones by writing down the names of those affected by cancer on a large board that will be located on Parkview Field’s concourse.

“Stand Up To Cancer Night will be a very special night where we will be able to have a direct impact as an organization to do as much as we can to support cancer awareness and help fund cancer research,” said Michael Limmer, TinCaps Vice President of Marketing. “As a community we will be able to contribute to striking out cancer.”

On Stand Up to Cancer Night, the TinCaps will be wearing special jerseys designed by Cory Dold, a TinCaps fan who won the Fifth Third Bank Design-A-Jersey Contest.

Dold’s design was inspired by his mother Kandy, who won her battle against breast cancer three years ago. The jerseys will be auctioned off during the game with donations to provide cancer awareness and support research.

Meanwhile, also during the game on Stand Up To Cancer Night, there will be a moment for everyone in the crowd and on the field to literally and symbolically stand up to cancer to show solidarity for all those who have been impacted by the disease.

“Fifth Third Bank is very proud of the great relationship we’ve formed with Stand Up To Cancer,” said Steven Alonso, regional president and CEO for the Greater Indiana Region. “Our Bank has always been focused on creating the greatest impact we can on the communities we serve. We are thrilled to be able to partner with the Fort Wayne TinCaps for Stand Up To Cancer Night at Parkview Field to celebrate our continued efforts to fund cancer research and encourage support for this tremendous cause.”

Prior to first pitch on the 20th, representatives from Fifth Third Bank will be recognized for the organization’s commitment to funding breakthrough cancer research for Stand Up To Cancer. For every strikeout a TinCaps pitcher records on that night, Fifth Third Bank will donate $250 to SU2C.

Fifth Third Bank will also be on hand for fans to sign up for new checking accounts. For every new checking account registration, Fifth Third Bank will provide new account holders $150 cash back as well as make a $150 donation in their name to SU2C (with direct deposit and three online bill pays).

Additionally on Stand Up To Cancer Night, Parkview Health will be providing free Skin Cancer Screenings for both men and women. There will also be a men’s health event in the Lincoln Financial Events Center that includes PSA Prostate Cancer Blood Screenings.

Charleston-RiverDogsEarlier this month, Myrtle Beach Pelicans Vice President and General Manager Andy Milovich received an in-game prostate exam as he sang “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during the seventh-inning stretch at a recent Pelicans home game. Milovich accepted the challenge to support Fallon Emery, a nine-year-old girl from Carolina Forest, SC who is fighting brain cancer and receiving her treatments at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Now, Milovich has challenged the Charleston RiverDogs to become the latest team to join this initiative.

RiverDogs Executive President and General Manager Dave Echols has agreed to participate in the “Two-Knuckle Challenge” on Saturday, August 2 when the RiverDogs host the Hagerstown Suns at 6:05 pm. If fans can push the “Fierce Fallon” Facebook page to 13,000 likes by Saturday’s contest, Echols will get a prostate exam as he sings “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during the seventh-inning stretch.

“Joining the ‘Two-Knuckle Challenge’ in support of Fallon Emery is a unique way to back this important cause,” Echols said. “As a Minor League Baseball franchise, multi-tasking is nothing new for us, but a prostate exam while signing during the seventh-inning stretch is definitely a distinctive endeavor. I just hope that once we get enough likes for ‘Fierce Fallon’ that I can pull through this exam with a clean bill of health.”

Fans are encouraged to like “Fierce Fallon” on Facebook (www.facebook.com/fiercefallon) and learn about her battle against brain cancer. The “Fierce Fallon” page needs 13,000 likes to guarantee that Echols will receive in his in-game prostate exam during the seventh-inning stretch. Echols was officially challenged by Milovich on Tuesday afternoon in a special YouTube message. Echols will follow Milovich and Lake Elsinore Storm Owner and President Dave Oster as the third Minor League Baseball executive tabbed for the “Two-Knuckle Challenge” as part of the larger Play It Forward initiative. Echols may nominate the next participant following Saturday’s event.

Play It Forward is a community building program that encourages others to help create a positive movement through grass roots activities and sports. The program is the brainchild of Oster. Play It Forward for sports teams all over the country help generate more local outreach programs that will help build positive energy throughout society. The concept is to get sports teams throughout the world to implement this positive energy program in their community, as well as encourage other businesses within their area to do the same. Sports teams can then Play It Forward to other teams in other communities.

Third Annual Peanut Free Night at Werner Park

Hosted by the Omaha Storm Chasers and the Asthma and Allergy Center

Omaha-Storm-Chasers-2014On Tuesday, July 29th, Werner Park will open its gates to fans with peanut allergies who cannot generally attend baseball games and other sporting events. For the entire week leading up to July 29th, Werner Park will be sanitized and cleaned to rid of all peanut dust and allergens. There will be no peanuts, tree nuts, or sunflower seeds sold or present in the stadium. Children involved The-Asthma-and-Allergy-Centerwill have an opportunity to form a “Peanut Free Field of Dreams Team” and run on the field with the players prior to the game. Ticket packages also include first pitch opportunities, a meet and greet with an Omaha Storm Chaser player, and a pre-game parade.

Myrtle-Beach-PelicansThe Myrtle Beach Pelicans, Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Texas Rangers, won the series finale with the Frederick Keys 5-4 on Thursday night at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. Pelicans Vice President and General Manager Andy Milovich sang “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” while receiving a prostate exam during the seventh inning stretch in front of a sellout crowd of 6,599 to raise awareness of the need for annual prostate exams.

The Pelicans (18-17, 62-41) struck first in the bottom of the first inning. With one out, Chris Garia singled and advanced to second on a Nick Williams walk. In the next at-bat, Royce Bolinger scored Garia with an RBI single to center field. Pelicans led 1-0 after the first.

In the bottom of the fourth the Birds increased their lead to 2-0. After Edwin Garcia grounded out, Christopher Bostick singled to center field. With two outs, Luis Mendez drove a double to center field, allowing Bostick to score from first. Mendez was thrown out trying to advance to third on the hit by right fielder Chih-Hsien Chiang to end the inning.

The Keys (16-17, 48-52) scored two runs in the top of the fifth to tie the game. After Joel Hutter walked and Tucker Nathans doubled to begin the inning, Johnny Ruettiger scored Hutter and advanced Nathans to third base with an RBI fielder’s choice. Two batters later, Trey Mancini hit an infield single to the shortstop, scoring Nathans. Pelicans starter Luis Parra walked Chiang to put runners on first and second with two outs, but escaped the inning when Chiang was thrown out in the ensuing play. Jason Esposito singled on a line drive to left field, but Chiang was caught in between second and third base when Garia’s throw came to Mendez, who ran and tagged Chiang trying to retreat back to second.

Frederick took the lead in the sixth inning. With two outs, and Wynston Sawyer and Nathans on base, Ruettiger lined a triple down the right field line, scoring Sawyer and Nathans to give the Keys a 4-2 lead.

Myrtle Beach answered with a run of its own in the bottom half of the sixth on an RBI infield single by Mendez.

In the bottom of the seventh the Pelicans took the lead for good, scoring all of their runs with two outs. After Garia and Williams flew out, Bolinger and Preston Beck walked to put runners on first and second. In the next at-bat, Garcia slammed a 1-0 pitch off the left field wall, scoring Bolinger and Beck. The Pelicans took a 5-4 lead.

After pitching a scoreless eighth, Pelicans reliever Abel De Los Santos (8) came back out for the ninth to complete the two-inning save.

Cody Ege (4-1) allowed the go-ahead runs in the sixth but earned the win in relief. Keys reliever Jimmy Yacabonis (0-3) took the loss, allowing the go-ahead double from Garcia in the seventh.

Andy Milovich passed his prostate exam with no problems.

4th Annual Subway Dragons 5K at Fifth Third Field One Week Away

Dayton-DragonsRegistration is well under way for the SUBWAY® Dragons 5K, with over 1,500 people already signed up to join SUBWAY® spokesperson Jared Fogle for the race on Saturday, July 19 at 9am. In 2013, the SUBWAY® Dragons 5K became one of the largest races in the Miami Valley and with current registration numbers and new activities slotted for the post-race party, it is well on its way to being bigger and better for 2014.

“The Subway Dayton Dragons 5k race is a great way to bring the family together for exercise and fun. Starting and ending at Fifth Third Field makes this annual event a special day and one I especially look forward to. Hope to see everyone there again on July 19!” says Jared Fogle on the impact of the event.

All participants in the run receive an official dri-fit shirt, stadium seat tickets to a Dragons game and three vouchers good for one (1) 6″ FRESH FIT® sub, one (1) breakfast sub from SUBWAY® and one sub of the participant’s choosing.

An awards ceremony will take place after the race. The top three male and female finishers will receive a specially-engraved baseball bat. A new twist this year is prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place group finishers! Participants could sign up as a group and have the chance to win great group awards including a Subway catering!

The run will begin at 9:00 a.m. on July 19 at Fifth Third Field. Participants may choose to run or walk the course. Baby strollers are also permitted. The post-race fun features a “meet and greet” with Jared Fogle, face painting, carnival and inflatable games, FREE Subway sandwich and cookie samples and more fun for the whole family.

Free Spikes Youth Baseball Clinic Saturday from 11-1

State-College-SpikesKids can learn baseball fundamentals from the pros at the Spikes Youth Baseball Clinic, presented by Penn State Sports Medicine, on Saturday, June 12. The clinic is free with a ticket to Saturday night’s 7:05 p.m. Spikes game, and will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

Spikes players will help kids sharpen their basic skills, including pitching, fielding and hitting, at the clinic. Kids and parents will also receive tips on injury prevention from a Penn State Sports Medicine physician. Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m., and participating kids will have the opportunity to get autographs from the players at the end of the clinic.

The Youth Baseball Clinic starts a jam-packed day at the ballpark, as the Spikes face the Staten Island Yankees at 7:05 p.m., with FIREWORKS after the game presented by Penn State Sports Medicine as well. It’s also a Scratch n’ Win Saturday, where every fan will be a winner as each fans receives a scratch-off card with a great prize or discount on it. In addition, one lucky fan will receive the chance to win a new Kia car with the Lion Country Kia Dice Roll.

After the game, kids can run the bases thanks to Clinical Outcomes Group, Inc.

Rainiers and Carol Milgard Breast Center To Host ‘Pink At The Park’ This Saturday

Tacoma-Rainiers-2014The Tacoma Rainiers and Carol Milgard Breast Center (CMBC) have teamed up for a fourth consecutive season to host ‘Pink at the Park’ this Saturday, July 12th at Cheney Stadium – a benefit game devoted to raising money to fund mammogram screenings for medically underserved women in the South Sound.

This year’s event begins when gates open at 6 p.m. for the Rainiers game against the Fresno Grizzlies. The first 3,000 fans arriving to the ballpark will receive limited edition pink trucker hats courtesy of CMBC. Pre-game activities will also include video testimonials of patients who have successfully defeated breast cancer and the formation of a ‘Circle of Hope’ around the pitcher’s mound that will be comprised of breast cancer survivors and their friends and families. Survivors will release pink balloons symbolizing the release of fear and renewed hope for the future.

Carol-Milgard-Breast-CenterWhen the game gets underway at 7 p.m., each Rainiers player and member of the coaching staff will wear special pink jerseys in recognition of breast cancer patients and their families who have battled the disease. Each of the game-worn jerseys will be autographed and auctioned off as part of a live auction along the third base line of the stadium immediately following the conclusion of the game. Proceeds from the auction will go directly towards CMBC to support the breast center’s continued efforts to provide sustainable breast health services for all women in the South Sound.

“Pink at the Park is our flagship fundraiser for the breast center,” says Jackie Ostrom, executive director of CMBC. “The money raised during this event plays a key part in helping us fulfill our mission of treating all patients, regardless of their ability to pay.” To date, CMBC has provided over $2.3 million in compassionate care services to medically underserved and underinsured patients in our community.

CMBC recently celebrated its fifth anniversary as the first dedicated breast imaging center in the South Puget Sound. Since welcoming its first patients on February 23, 2009, CMBC has provided more than 120,000 screening mammograms to women, and has performed more than 250,000 exams and procedures in total. The breast center’s most important milestone, however, has been saving more lives through early detection. CMBC estimates it has diagnosed over 3,000 breast cancers in its first five years. “We’re honored to be making a real difference in our community, because we know that early detection saves lives,” says Khai Tran, M.D., medical director and visionary of the breast center.

Breast cancer continues to rank as the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women, with one in every eight women in the U.S. affected by the disease. Women whose breast cancer is detected at an early enough stage have been shown to have a 93 percent or more survival rate. The breast center supports screening guidelines established by the American Cancer Society, recommending that every woman 40 years of age and older receive a routine screening mammogram every year.

Wisconsin-Timber-Rattlers-2014Fans will see something at the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers game on Friday, June 27 that they have never seen at a Timber Rattlers game before…a gigantic MEGA Brain! It’s all part of Strike Out Stroke Night presented by Neuroscience Group and the Timber Rattlers.

The MEGA Brain provides visitors with a highly interactive educational experience about the central nervous system’s most critical organ. Visitors can step inside the 18 foot long by 14 foot wide by 12 foot high human brain, learn about the various structures and normal brain function, observe examples of brain trauma and disease, and view displays explaining some of the latest neurological medical treatments.

Neuroscience-Group“We are so excited to be able to facilitate the Strike Out Stroke program, and to have the MEGA Brain available with which to educate people about the signs of a stroke,” said Cheryll Poissant, Director of Clinical Operations for the Neuroscience Group. “Our ultimate goal is to save lives through education and awareness.”

The MEGA Brain will be on display at Neuroscience Group’s main clinic located at 1305 W American Dr in Neenah on Friday, June 27 with Timber Rattlers players and Fang, the team mascot from 9:00am to noon. The MEGA Brain will be in front of the Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium beginning at 4:30pm on June 27.

Fans will also be able to stop by a Neuroscience Group information table on the main concourse for complimentary blood pressure screening.

“We’re very excited to partner with Neuroscience Group and Strike Out Stroke to help spread awareness about the signs of a stroke,” said Rob Zerjav, Timber Rattlers President. “We’re also excited to showcase the MEGA Brain to our fans as a way to further provide a memorable interactive educational experience.”

The game is also Peanut Free Night and North Shore Bank Family Night presented by Y100. No peanuts will be sold in the concession stands or allowed into the stadium as part of Peanut Free Night. For North Shore Bank Family Night, Children 12 and under receive a voucher that is good for a free hotdog and soda and children 14 and under may run the bases courtesy of Molina Healthcare after the postgame fireworks display.

Salt-Lake-BeesThe Salt Lake Bees will present Bee Healthy Week June 19-21 at Smith’s Ballpark as part of the team’s ongoing commitment to health and wellness. During the games those evenings, fans of all ages will be invited to participate in a variety of interactive Bee Healthy Challenges featuring special prizes. In addition, Bees players will host baseball clinics throughout the week to show local youth ways to stay active while having fun.

In collaboration with Intermountain LDS Hospital, SelectHealth and the Utah Department of Health, six Bee Healthy Challenges will line the concourse of Smith’s Ballpark during games June 19-21. Fans who complete at least four of the six challenges will receive a Bee Healthy T-shirt and entry into a drawing to win autographed Bees items, including a mini-helmet, jersey, bat or baseball. Designed to educate and inspire fans to embrace healthy living, the Bee Healthy Challenges will include:

  • LiVe Well Operation Game, a life-size version of the board game “Operation”
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Health-based social media contests
  • Chair yoga
  • Body fat analysis
  • Healthcare Wheel of Misfortune, a game featuring a large spinning wheel to help educate fans about healthcare reform

Intermountain-LDS-HospitalAs part of the Bees organization’s ongoing efforts to encourage youth to stay active and live a healthy lifestyle, players will also lead five clinics during Bee Healthy Week, two of which will be open to Knothole Club members. The clinics will provide youth with a chance to interact with Bees players during a series of baseball drills, along with autograph and photo opportunities.

Select-HealthDuring the Bee Healthy homestand, All-Star Catering will debut a variety of individual salads and fruit plates as part of its “Fresh Express” menu for fans. Concessionaries will continue to offer healthy choices such as vegetable trays, baked chips and bean and rice burritos at Smith’s Ballpark. On Friday, June 20, when the team takes on the Memphis Redbirds, attendees will also receive Bee Healthy water bottles to help them stay hydrated while on the go.

Utah-Department-of-HealthThe Bees will host the Memphis Redbirds and the Nashville Sounds during its eight-game homestand June 17-24. Little Lake Monsters Program Announced

Vermont-Lake-Monsters-2014The Vermont Lake Monsters and Northwestern Urgent Care are teaming up to reward nine kids in the community with a once in a lifetime experience with a new community program called the “Little Lake Monsters” Community All-Star Team.

Both organizations believe strongly in doing the right things and living a healthy lifestyle. From June 16th – July 6th, kids (between the ages of 5 to 12 years old) will be allowed to register online and submit their answers to three (3) questions for their chance to be selected as one of this years Little Lake Monsters.

Northwestern-Medical-CenterChildren will be asked to submit answers to questions focusing on sportsmanship, healthy lifestyles, and community. A committee will select the nine children based on their answers and experiences that they have written about.

Each of the nine children selected will be rewarded with an experience that will show what it is like to live the day in the life of a professional baseball player. Each of the nine children will be rewarded and anointed the “Little Lake Monsters” and on August 22nd experience the opportunity of a lifetime where they will:

* Be announced at a press conference where they will be presented with their own custom Vermont Lake Monsters jersey (name and number) and official cap

* Be signed to a one-day promotional contract with the Vermont Lake Monsters

* Take a limousine from the press conference to historic Centennial Field

* Have the chance to take batting practice with the Vermont Lake Monsters

* Be introduced to the crowd, recognized for their community efforts, and presented with their pay for they day, which will in turn be donated to a charitable organization

* Throw out a ceremonial first pitch on August 22nd

* Run out on the field for the National Anthem with the Vermont Lake Monsters team

* Have the chance to sit in the dugout with the team for an inning during the game

* Be presented with their very own Vermont Lake Monsters baseball card, which will also be the giveaway for that evening’s game

“All of the things that we are rewarding the kids with are things that we in the business take for granted,” said Nate Cloutier, Lake Monsters General Manager. “Things like throwing out a first pitch or getting up close and personal with the team, may not mean much to some of us, but these are experiences that can change the lives of kids and create lifelong memories. We are trying to create an association with being rewarded for doing the right things. We are thrilled to have found a partner in Northwestern Medical Center, who believes in the same values that we do.”
