(Fort Mill, SC) — The Charlotte Knights and Carolinas HealthCare System (CHS) will host their fifth annual health fair this Friday, May 31st at Knights Stadium. Fans will have the chance to visit with medical experts from multiple facilities in the area on topics of health, wellness, fitness and lifestyle improvements. The health fair is free with a ticket to that night’s game.
Medical experts will be on-site to answer questions and provide general health information and giveaways for attendees.
“The Charlotte Knights along with Carolinas HealthCare System are committed to making a positive contribution to the health and well-being of all of our fans,” said Knights Vice President of Sales, Chris Semmens. “The Knights are proud to host this event for the 5th season.”
Over the past four years, CHS and the Charlotte Knights have worked together to educate more than 36,400 fans at Knights Stadium on preventative medical practices.
Friday’s game also features a retro baseball card set giveaway to the first 1,000 fans and the Knights will wear their 1990 “throwback” jerseys. Gates are set to open at 6:00 p.m. as the Knights host the Rochester Red Wings in game one of an exciting four-game series. First pitch at Knights Stadium is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.

As part of the Military-themed game, all Knights players will wear special Military jerseys on Monday and for all three games this season (May 27, June 29, and July 3rd). A jersey auction, which will take place online at charlotteknights.com, will run until Sunday, July 7 at 11:59 PM. Fans can bid on the game-worn, autographed jerseys right from their home computer. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the USO of NC.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Indians will officially kick off their 2013 slate of Boy and Girl Scout events with the Tribe’s first ever Circuit of Fun Scout Night. This year’s new event is set for Saturday, May 11 and will include an exciting pre-game Scout party before the Tribe’s 7:05 p.m. contest against Toledo.
The Tribe’s Circuit of Fun Night is only the first of four fantastic scouting events scheduled this year at Victory Field. The Indians will also be hosting overnight Boy Scout Campouts on Friday, June 7 and Friday, June 28, as well as a Girl Scout Campout on Friday, June 21.

Moosic, Pa. – When the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre baseball franchise spent 2012 on the road, it still had its home at heart. The team christened a program that focused on rejuvenating area Little League fields. Even though the now-RailRiders (Triple-A/New York Yankees) have a home of their own in the beautifully reconstructed PNC Field, the Adopt-a-Field Program is back and better than ever.
The Norfolk Tides organization will be renovating the Shore Little League field in Northampton County on Wednesday, April 24. Shore Little League was a participant in the 2012 Field Renovation Contest, with the Eastern Shore community garnering over 2,700 votes for the field.
The Syracuse Chiefs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, are pleased to announce activities for the Chiefs’ Armed Forces Weekend. Events at NBT Bank Stadium will take place on Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11.
On Saturday, May 11, the Chiefs will host the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team (WWAST) to kick off an all-day Armed Forces celebration. At 10:30 am, the WWAST will take the field against a local celebrity team sponsored by Fuccillo Nissan. Admission to the softball game is free.
