McCoy Charity Softball Game Returns June 4

The LeSean McCoy Foundation and Rochester Red Wings have announced the fourth annual LeSean McCoy Charity Softball Game will be held at Frontier Field on Sunday, June 4 with festivities beginning at 2 p.m.

McCoy and his Buffalo Bills teammates will take on a team of local heroes comprised of police, firefighters and emergency medical technicians. Former NFL players who have participated in this event in the past include Cam Newton, Victor Cruz, DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, Brian Westbrook, Thurman Thomas, Sammy Watkins, Chris Hogan and Tyrod Taylor.

Gates will open at 1 p.m. The Home Run Derby begins at 2 p.m. with the game starting at approximately 3 p.m.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, April 28 at 9:00 a.m. at Frontier Field Ticket Office, online at RedWingsBaseball.com or by calling (585) 423-WING. Tickets are $25 for platinum box, $20 for premium box, $15 for upper box and $10 for reserved. Red Wings Season Seat Holders will have until Thursday, April 27 at 5:00 p.m. to claim their seat location. On Friday, April 28, those seats will be released for sale to the general public.

A limited number of suites will be available for this event. A 16-person suite including food and non-alcoholic beverages will be $750. Fans purchasing these suites can buy additional tickets (up to four) at $25 each. A 10-person suite with the same amenities is $600 and additional tickets (up to two) can be purchased for $25 each.

This year’s softball game will feature live autograph signings, a silent auction and several raffles.

Proceeds from the event will be directed to the LeSean McCoy Foundation to provide educational and resource programs to disadvantaged youth and to raise awareness and funds directly benefitting individuals and families battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. LeSean’s grandmother, Maryann Branch, lost her battle with ALS.

Tickets to this charity event are considered a non-refundable donation the LeSean McCoy Foundation. No refunds will be issued due to inclement weather if the event cannot take place.

BlueClaws Collecting Art Supplies at Sunday’s Game

The BlueClaws will be collecting new art supplies at Sunday’s game.

The Camden Schools Foundation will be at FirstEnergy Park on Sunday collecting new art supplies to benefit students in the district. Anyone that donates will receive two general admission tickets for a BlueClaws game between May 22nd and 28th.

There will be a table on the concourse behind home plate where fans can drop of their supplies.

Michelin Reading All-Stars Celebrated on Monday

The Greenville Drive and Michelin will recognize the Reading All-Stars for Greenville County on Monday, April 24th. First pitch for the game against the Greensboro Grasshoppers is at 7:05 PM, and the celebration will begin as the gates open at 6:00.

Students will be rewarded for their hard work in their reading programs this school year with a commemorative Reading All-Stars t-shirt, a pregame parade around Fluor Field at 6:30 PM, and participation in a Public Education Partners Book Fair.

During the game, high-achieving schools in the Reading All-Stars program over the last several years will be inducted into the Reading All-Stars Hall of Fame.

TinCaps Seek Nominees for Military Salutes in 2017

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Fort Wayne TinCaps, along with OmniSource Corporation and Steel Dynamics Inc., will salute our military throughout the 2017 season and need your help.

All those who serve our country, or have served, deserve to be saluted. The TinCaps are looking for nominations of active or veteran military personnel to honor at games. If you have a friend or family member you’d like to see honored at Parkview Field, then let the team know.

Selected nominees will be rewarded with VIP treatment at Parkview Field. This includes tickets to the game for them and their family, and recognition on the field before that night’s fireworks show.

GENEVA, Ill. – Operation Support Our Troops – America has announced that Rockin’ for the Troops, the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year, will take place at Northwestern Medicine Field – home of the Kane County Cougars – on Saturday, July 22. Fireflies Seek Candidates for Military Baseball Card Set

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Columbia Fireflies are looking for active duty military members, reservists and military veterans to honor in their Inaugural Military Baseball Card Set, presented by AllSouth Federal Credit Union. The baseball card set will feature 30 cards and will be given to the first 1,000 fans in attendance on Memorial Day (Monday, May 29).

Potomac Nationals Announce 10th Annual Prince William County Middle School Day

Woodbridge, VA— The Potomac Nationals, in cooperation with Prince William County Schools and the Education Foundation for Prince William County Schools, S.P.A.R.K, are excited to host the 10th annual Prince William County Middle School Day at Pfitzner Stadium on Wednesday morning. A special 10:35am first pitch is scheduled to accommodate every Prince William County Middle School who wants to attend. At the game, students and teachers get a chance to enjoy some day baseball, while learning about a career in sports.

Middle School Day has been a tradition in Prince William County and at Pfitzner Stadium for over a decade, and the Potomac Nationals are dedicated to supporting PWCS for many years to come. Over 25,000 students have participated in this event since its inception and the P-Nats strive to make an impact on our young citizens by offering them an annual field trip to The Pfitz with an educational component. Over 2,500 students are expected to be in attendance on Wednesday morning. Students receive a complimentary ticket to the game and complimentary lunch.

Our main focus here at the Pfitz is fun, and throughout the game, every student gets a chance to learn directly from P-Nats staff about their various jobs and opportunities in baseball. Video interviews of Potomac Nationals front office members are regularly played between innings, explaining the puzzle pieces that make up a sports franchise. The P-Nats support students progressing through to the end goal of any career, both in and out of sports, and every member of the organization is available to all of our local students for advice and guidance through middle school and beyond. We hire PWC students as early as age 14 to work a variety of jobs during game days. The majority of our game day operations would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our high school students. The Potomac Nationals will always support PWCS and our students as we work in conjunction with the PWCS to create the greatest possible future for all of our children in PW County. We hope to continue to impact our students’ lives at our new ballpark, planned for Potomac Town Center in Woodbridge.

This event is also one of many opportunities for the P-Nats to support our military. Members of the United States Air Force COMM Squadron East- North Capital Region will volunteer, preparing lunches and operating our concession stand before and during the game. After the game, the P-Nats will make a donation to the group as a thank you for their help at the stadium and for their service in the United States Air Force.

Dragons Continue Heater’s Recycling Bin Initiative

The Dayton Dragons and Montgomery County Environmental Services encourage fans to participate in Heater’s Recycling Bin Initiative (RBI), a free educational program for the entire family. All participants will receive up to four Dragons lawn tickets for special RBI Nights and be eligible to win great prizes.

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (April 18, 2017) – With dinosaurs, fireworks, and a Play Station 4 giveaway, the Kannapolis Intimidators 4-game home stand April 20-23 has something for everyone. This homestand at Fluor Field will feature two celebration games for Michelin Reading All-Stars. The Drive are excited to host the new batch of Reading All-Stars on Sunday for Anderson, Pickens and Spartanburg Counties, and on Monday for Greenville County.

Sunday’s first pitch against the Rome Braves is at 4:05 PM, and the pregame parade for Reading All-Stars will begin at 3:30.

Monday’s game against the Greensboro Grasshoppers begins at 7:05 PM, with the parade scheduled for 6:30.

Both days will see high-achieving schools selected to the Reading All-Stars Hall of Fame, and the Drive are teaming up with Public Education Partners to host a book fair for children at both games.

Rattlers and Thrivent Financial Team Up for Make-A-Difference Mondays

GRAND CHUTE, WI – The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and Thrivent Financial are getting together to present Make-A-Difference Mondays at the ballpark this season. There will be four special Monday games over the remainder of the 2017 season to aid local non-profit organizations.

Fans who choose to donate to the non-profit will receive a discounted box seat ticket for $10 (normally $14) to these special Monday games. Additionally, $5 of the $10 for the ticket will be donated to the non-profit scheduled to be a partner for that game.

The schedule for the four Make-A-Difference Mondays and the non-profit organizations and the most-needed items they need for donations on those days are:

May 15: Feeding America

The Timber Rattlers are currently on the road. They will return home to begin a seven-game homestand on Thursday, April 20 with a game against the Peoria Chiefs.

Partial season and group ticket packages are currently available for the 2017 season. Tickets packages are available online, over the phone at (920) 733-4152 or (800) WI-TIMBER, and in person. Individual game tickets for this season are also on sale now.   Groups of 20 or more may order tickets over the phone or in person. The Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium Box Office is open from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and from 10:00am to 3:00pm on Saturdays.

Potomac Nationals Announce Military Appreciation Night Plans, Commemorative On-Field, Autographed Military Appreciation Jersey Auction, & Ticket Discounts for Active & Retired Military Personnel

Woodbridge, VA— The Potomac Nationals are proud to honor all active and retired United States military members in the Northern Virginia community throughout the 40th season of Potomac Baseball at Pfitzner Stadium.

The P-Nats are honored to announce that the Nationals’ annual Military Appreciation Night will get underway on Saturday June 3rd with a special pre-game ceremony while commemorative military appreciation on-field jerseys will be worn by Potomac Nationals players and coaches throughout the 2017 season courtesy of Reality Realty, and military ticket discounts will be available to active and retired military members for every home game at Pfitzner Stadium this season.

Military Appreciation Night with the P-Nats
Military Appreciation Night with the P-Nats is sponsored by Reality Realty, First Command Financial Services, and Little Caesars. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a military-themed camo t-shirt giveaway sponsored by Little Caesars, the Official Pizza Partner of the Potomac Nationals. During Military Appreciation Night, there will be apparatus from various military installations located outside the gates of Pfitzner Stadium for fans to explore. There will be a pre-game ceremony held on the field to honor military personnel in addition to an honorary color guard and sprawling American Flag presentation, and a special rendition of the National Anthem to show our appreciation for the service men and women in the P-Nats’ community. Commemorative on-field military appreciation jerseys, sponsored by Reality Realty will be worn during the game, as well. The P-Nats encourage all active and retired military members to attend. P-Nats’ On-Field, Autographed Commemorative Military Appreciation Jersey Auction
Potomac Nationals players and coaches will wear commemorative military appreciation jerseys throughout the 2017 season. These themed jerseys are sponsored by Reality Realty and will be worn on every Sunday home game in 2017 with the exception of games on 5/14 and 6/11. All game-used Military Appreciation Jerseys will be autographed by the P-Nats player or coach who wore the jersey all season and the game jerseys will be auctioned off on the field during the August 27thhome game at Pftizner Stadium. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to Reality Realty’s non-profit organizations of choice, the Heroes Alliance Network and The American Veterans Ball. The jerseys will also be worn on Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, June 3rd. The camouflage jerseys will feature a logo that combines the logos of the Heroes Alliance Network and The American Veterans Ball.

Military Member Ticket Discounts at The Pfitz
All active and retired members of any branch of the military will receive a $2 discount off any seat at The Pfitz at ANY Potomac Nationals home game during the 2017 with a valid Military ID. Free general admission tickets are also available for any active member of the military who attends ANY P-Nats home game. Discounted single game tickets are available at every home game at Pftizner Stadium and will be issued to any patron with valid military identification. BlueClaws Partner With Sunrun to Educate Fans on Home Solar Power

LAKEWOOD BLUECLAWS PARTNER WITH SUNRUN TO EDUCATE FANS ON HOME SOLAR POWER

LAKEWOOD, New Jersey – April 12, 2017 – The Lakewood BlueClaws today announced it will be one of 16 teams featured in a multi-year partnership between Minor League Baseball™ (MiLB™) and Sunrun (Nasdaq: RUN), the largest dedicated residential solar company in the United States. The partnership, now in its second year, was inked in 2016. As the “Preferred Residential Solar Power Provider of Minor League Baseball,” Sunrun will help educate baseball fans across the country on the financial and environmental benefits of Sunrun solar.

The Storm join a list of clubs in all classifications of MiLB to support Sunrun’s campaign to educate fans on the financial and environmental benefits of Sunrun solar. As part of the campaign, BlueClaws centerfielder Mickey Moniak has been selected to Sunrun’s ‘The Future is Bright’ lineup. Moniak, 18, has recorded hits in all five games for the BlueClaws this spring in his first full season of professional baseball.
