Cutters Seeking Anthem Performer Videos

The Williamsport Crosscutters are now looking for National Anthem performers for the 2020 season.

All individuals and groups who are interested in being considered are encouraged to fill out the short application available at Crosscutters.com (link below). Applicants are also required to send in a video of them performing the Star Spangled Banner.

“Due to the restrictions of COVID-19, we are unable to hold in-person auditions this year,” said Gabe Sinicropi, the Cutters Vice-President of Marketing and Public Relations. “That said, we hope to receive a wealth of applicants to choose from with these video submissions.”

The Crosscutters are seeking any and all types of performers including soloists, groups, and musicians, of any age. All performances must be 90 seconds or less in length, the traditional rendition and vocalists should sing a cappella.

All applications and videos should be submitted by April 30. Those chosen to perform at a game will be notified and scheduled at a later date.

The Crosscutters 2020 home opener is scheduled for June 19 at BB&T Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field. The full schedule can be viewed online at Crosscutters.com.

Cougars to Hold Open Auditions for On-Field Emcee on March 18

GENEVA, Ill. – The Kane County Cougars are seeking an energetic and outgoing personality to serve as part of the fan experience at Northwestern Medicine Field this season. An essential part of the game day staff, the on-field emcee works hand in hand with the Cougar Crew promotional team to enhance the atmosphere during games.

Open auditions for the on-field emcee will be held on Wednesday, March 18 from 1-5 PM at Northwestern Medicine Field (34W002 Cherry Lane). Those interested are encouraged to call the front office at 630-232-8811 to schedule their audition time.

All emcee candidates must submit a resume as a part of their audition process. Materials may be emailed to Caela at [email protected] or provided at the audition. Candidates must be at least 18 years or older and must be able to attend all 70 Cougars home games.

Those auditioning will be judged on their voice strength, on-field presence and energy level. Candidates must be able to gain access to all areas of the ballpark quickly and safely while standing for long periods of time with the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.Various requests during the audition will include acting out on-field promotions, including an explanation of the promotion to fans, introducing contestants and commentary when necessary.

Opening Night for the Cougars is Thursday, April 9 against the Cedar Rapids Kernels at 6:30 PM. The first 1,500 fans will receive an Opening Night cap, courtesy of Northwestern Medicine. Thirsty Thursday specials, presented by Miller Lite, will also be available with $1 beers, sodas, and $2 hot dogs.

Pelicans now accepting National Anthem submissions

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (March 10, 2020) – The Myrtle Beach Pelicans are now accepting online National Anthem auditions for the 2020 season. Fans can submit their video HERE. All ages are welcome to submit, however, a submission does not guarantee a spot to perform during the season.

Vocalists, musicians and groups are welcome to submit. Please note that all vocalists mus sing without a music track. Additionally, all performances must be 90 seconds or less. Submissions will be accepted through March 27 at midnight.

The Pelicans’ 2020 season will begin at home on April 9 against the defending Carolina League Champion Wilmington Blue Rocks. The 2020 season marks the 22nd year for the Pelicans on the Grand Strand and the sixth year as the Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Sod Poodles To Host 2020 Team Mascot Auditions

Along with National Anthem auditions, the Amarillo Sod Poodles will also be hosting public team mascot auditions for the 2020 season on Saturday, March 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at HODGETOWN.

Individuals auditioning for the mascot position must be between five-foot-six and five-foot-eleven inches in height for the costume fit (please wear workout-type or athletic attire). Mascot experience with a high school, college and/or a sports team is preferred.

Walk-up auditions on Saturday, March 14 are welcome but are not guaranteed and will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis, as time permits. To ensure a slot, contacting ahead of time is recommended since time slots are also limited.

All participants for both the Mascot and National Anthem auditions can enter through the Sod Poodles Team Shop at 715 South Buchanan next to the HODGETOWN box office. Sod Poodles team members will direct all individuals to the check-in and audition area. Entrance to the audition area will begin at 9:45 a.m.

The Sod Poodles host their 2020 home opener at HODGETOWN on Thursday, April 16 against the Arkansas Travelers (Seattle Mariners Double-A affiliate) for a three-game set. First pitch for the 2020 home opener is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

National Anthem auditions set for April 4 at Crossgates

TROY, NY – The Tri-City ValleyCats will be holding their 10th Annual National Anthem auditions on Saturday, April 4 at Crossgates from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Selected finalists will participate in an online fan vote, with the top vote recipient having the opportunity to sing at a premier ValleyCats game at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium this summer, in front of an expected crowd of over 5,000 fans.

Hosted by Jaime Roberts heard weekday mornings from 6am – 10am on 98.3 TRY, the auditions will take place on the lower level near Lord & Taylor. Registration will begin promptly at 9:30am and auditions will be conducted on a first-come, first-perform basis. Performances can be sung individually or as a group, and may also be performed on an instrument that does not require power.

A panel of judges will be scoring the performances based on sound quality, stage presence, and song accuracy.

The ValleyCats 2020 home opener is set for Wednesday, June 24 as the 19th season of Minor League Baseball begins at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium in Troy.

Cannon Ballers to Host National Anthem Auditions for Inaugural Season

(KANNAPOLIS, N.C.) – The Kannapolis Cannon Ballers will be searching for the best National Anthem performers that the surrounding counties have to offer on Sunday, March 15th at Cabarrus Brewing Company for their inaugural season at Atrium Health Ballpark. This free event, hosted by one of Cabarrus County’s top breweries, will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and performers of all ages are welcome (performers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult).

To secure an opportunity to audition on March 15th, interested performers must pre-register at kcballers.com before the day of the event. Each individual will be given no more than two minutes to sing the National Anthem acapella. Performers with instruments are more than welcome to audition but will need to bring their own equipment and a supply of power will not be available.

FredNats and Germanna Community College Partner to Benefit Fredericksburg Community

FREDERICKSBURG, VA – On Wednesday, February 26th the Fredericksburg Nationals and Germanna Community College announced more details of their partnership that will be implemented for the 2020 season.

Germanna and the FredNats are entering into a unique partnership that will highlight the history of baseball in Fredericksburg and the surrounding region in the new ballpark, while at the same time providing educational opportunities, scholarships, and exhibitions for use by the college and regional students. This program is also supported in conjunction with the FredNats’ partnerships with the Fredericksburg Area Museum (FAM) and Dovetail Cultural Resource Group (Dovetail), both of whom are providing substantial resources to bring the history of baseball in Fredericksburg to the new ballpark

The FredNats and Germanna announced the conception of the Jackie Robinson Writing Contest and Scholarship Fund that is open to all high school students in the Fredericksburg and surrounding counties. Five annual scholarships of $1,042 will be awarded to winners selected by a board made of members of the FredNats and Germanna’s choosing. High school juniors and seniors from the Germanna service area which includes Fredericksburg, Stafford, Spotsylvania, Culpeper, Orange, King George, Madison and Caroline are eligible to participate.

The entry information and form is available at https://www.germanna.edu/42essay/ and students should submit essays by April 15. The five winners of the $1,042 scholarships will be awarded at the FredNats home game against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans on Friday, May 29.

As an interactive element of the ballpark, Germanna Community College, in conjunction with the Fredericksburg Area Museum and Dovetail Cultural Resource Group, are creating an 80-foot-long History Pavilion on the back of the “batter’s eye” of the stadium outfield concourse. This pavilion includes a wall that will highlight various historical events relating to baseball in Fredericksburg. The wall design and elements are being finalized and is expected to be installed in the stadium in late May.

Germanna, in partnership with the historical research completed by Dovetail and FAM, will produce several episodes of “History Minutes” of Fredericksburg to be displayed pregame in the ballpark. Episodes will highlight significant historical events in Fredericksburg related to baseball. The first history minute featuring the historical Walter Johnson coin toss across the Rappahannock from 1936 was released during the partnership announcement. National Anthem Auditions at Whataburger Field Next Week

CORPUS CHRISTI – Here’s your chance to show you’ve got the voice to sing the National Anthem in front of up to 8,000 fans at Whataburger Field this season!
National Anthem auditions are planned for Thursday, March 5 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Whataburger Field. Tryouts will be held on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please use the CITGO Cotton Club entrance to register upon arrival.

M-Braves Holding National Anthem and Mascot Auditions Saturday, March 7th

PEARL, MS — The Mississippi Braves are once again looking for local talent to perform at games this season. Auditions for the National Anthem and mascots will be held Saturday, March 7 at Trustmark Park, from 10 am to 2 pm. Individuals or groups may participate.

“We are excited to be having our annual National Anthem tryouts for the upcoming season,” said Mississippi Braves promotions and entertainment manager Ali Nerini. “We are looking for individuals who will represent the M-Braves in performing a powerful rendition of our National Anthem.”

National Anthem Auditions: 
Candidates will perform over the stadium PA system. Come prepared with a traditional rendition of the National Anthem. The chosen singers will perform at M-Braves’ home games during the 2020 season. Choirs and larger groups are welcome to audition to deliver the National Anthem. Participants will be judged on a cappella and acoustic instrumental renditions only, as no electric or amplified instruments can be utilized for game day performances. All singers who would like to sing the anthem in 2020, including those who have sung at an M-Braves game in the past, are required to attend this audition. Video audition tapes will not be accepted.

“Our mascots are an important part of the experience at Trustmark Park,” added Nerini. “We will be looking for energetic, fun-loving people who love nothing more than bringing smiles to fans’ faces!”

Mascot Auditions:
The Braves are looking for energetic, friendly and enthusiastic individuals to fulfill this position. A suit will not be provided for your audition, so bring your own or be prepared to audition without a suit. Come prepared with a 30-second routine of your choice as well as being ready for an improv performance.
Auditions will take place inside Trustmark Park, and participants will enter through the main gate. Local celebrities and Braves staff will judge the auditions. There is no appointment necessary, and performers will audition in the order in which they arrive. The tryout is open to all area performers and musicians, allowing Braves fans the unique chance to be a valuable part of the game-day atmosphere. Also, any tryout participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the audition.

The 2020 season begins on Thursday, April 9, when the M-Braves host the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. 2020 season tickets, group outings, and sponsorship are on sale through the Mississippi Braves front office. The Amarillo Sod Poodles will be hosting public auditions for National Anthem performances for the team’s sequel season on Saturday, March14 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at HODGETOWN. Soloists, duets, and trios are invited to audition “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “God Bless America” for a chance to perform during the 2020 season.

Two winning participants will be determined by a panel of guest judges and will be given an opportunity to perform on either Opening Night or Independence Day. Many other individuals will be given opportunities to perform on additional game dates during the season. All participants will be contacted privately following the event.

All vocal performances must be a cappella or accompanied by a personal instrument and only traditional renditions of songs will be considered for selection. Each performer may audition for either “The Star-Spangled Banner” or “God Bless America” and will be considered for either song. Auditions will be performed in front of judges in a private, closed-off area during scheduled time slots.

Iowa Cubs Now Accepting National Anthem Auditions for 2020

Auditions will be held at Principal Park on April 4

The Iowa Cubs are now accepting auditions to perform the National Anthem before a home game in 2020. Live auditions will be held at Principal Park on April 4 from 2:30-4:40 p.m. Participant entrance and registration will be at Gate C.

For the first time, applicants can also submit video files for consideration in lieu of a live audition. Applicants wishing to virtually apply must email Beth at bethk@iowacubs.com with a completed application (download here) and a downloadable video file, or a video link such at YouTube, Google Drive or DropBox. Audio files, tapes, or CDs will not be accepted.

Individual and group vocalists, as well as instrumentalists, are invited to audition. All vocal auditions must be performed a cappella (no musical accompaniment). Performances of the National Anthem are not to exceed two minutes.

The last day to submit 2020 National Anthem auditions is Saturday, April 4. A member of the Iowa Cubs staff will reach out to those who have been selected.

The Iowa Cubs play 70 games at Principal Park in 2020 and will open the home schedule on April 14 at 6:38 p.m. vs. San Antonio.

National Anthem Tryouts on April 1st at FirstEnergy Park

LAKEWOOD, NJ- The BlueClaws will hold their 2020 National Anthem tryouts on Wednesday, April 1st at FirstEnergy Park. The auditions will run from 5 pm – 7 pm.

All interested participants must fill out an application prior to the audition. Applications can be filled out online by clicking here.

All National Anthem auditions will be performed a capella. Instruments will be permitted, but only those that do not require electricity. Singers can apply individually or as a group.
Groups no larger than three are welcome at the auditions. Those that are interested in performing with larger groups can contact the BlueClaws at 732-901-7000, option 3.

Applications will be reviewed on a first-come-first-served basis and performance times are subject to availability. All applicants will be notified by phone regarding a possible audition, but applicants are not guaranteed an audition.

A decision will not be made the day of the tryout. All who tryout will be notified if they have been selected to perform at FirstEnergy Park for the 2020 season. All judges’ decisions are final.

The BlueClaws are the Jersey Shore’s top stop for affordable, family entertainment. The 2020 season kicks off with Opening Night at FirstEnergy Park on April 16th, presented by Jenkinson’s Boardwalk.

Spring Fan Fest, Anthem Auditions to be Held March 7

The Durham Bulls will host their 2020 Fan Fest on Saturday, March 7 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The free event provides fans a chance to take batting practice on the field and purchase single-game tickets for the 2020 season. Additionally, National Anthem auditions

The Durham Bulls will host their 2020 Fan Fest on Saturday, March 7 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The free event provides fans a chance to take batting practice on the field and purchase single-game tickets for the 2020 season. Additionally, National Anthem auditions will take place at the DBAP the morning of March 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

The event will feature a free raffle for all fans in attendance, with grand prizes such as Bulls merchandise. Each fan in attendance will be given a raffle ticket upon arrival. Fans can earn more raffle tickets throughout the event in several ways, such as purchasing individual game tickets and packages along with retail purchases. Winners will be selected every 30 minutes, and the individual must be present to win.

Two batting practice sessions will be held at the event. All attendees 13 and older wishing to hit on the field will be able to line up from 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., and all fans 12 and under wishing to take batting practice may line up from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Each participant will get 3-5 pitches only. Guests will be required to sign a waiver to participate. Waivers are available here for completion prior to Fan Fest. Please print, complete and bring with you for Spring Fan Fest.

The team’s ticket representatives will be available to showcase available 919 Club member seating locations, and the Mako Medical Box Office will be open at 12:00 p.m. to provide fans an opportunity to purchase single-game tickets. 919 Club members in attendance will be granted access to the PNC Triangle Club 30 minutes prior to the event to pick up their membership package and giveaways. In addition to 919 Club packages and single-game tickets, a special Fan Fest Pack will be available only on March 7. Fans eager to secure single-game tickets for the 2020 season can do so beginning Monday, March 2 in an online-only sale, and tickets will become available by phone and in-person at the DBAP beginning March 7.

Other events/offers scheduled for Fan Fest include:

  • Fans that purchase a 919 Club package are entered into a raffle to win four (4) PNC Triangle Club tickets or a suite night for Opening Week (April 9 Opening Night excluded)

National Anthem auditions will also take place at the DBAP the morning of March 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. for individuals wishing to perform the Star-Spangled Banner at a Bulls game in 2020. Performers who arrive after 8:30 a.m. will not be permitted to audition. Performers will have one minute and 30 seconds to perform the anthem, and lyrics must be memorized and performed in a traditional style.

Participants for anthem auditions may enter through the ballpark’s left field gate and register upon arrival to perform on a first-come, first-sing basis. Singers may leave at the completion of their audition and will be contacted at a later date as the Bulls choose those who will perform at limited, select dates during the 2020 season.

National Anthem Tryouts Set for Saturday, February 22

DAYTON, OHIO – A traditional sign that baseball season is just around the corner in the Miami Valley is National Anthem Tryouts, presented by the Dayton Daily News. Tryouts for national anthem performers for the 2020 season will take place on Saturday, February 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Mall at Fairfield Commons.

Finalists will perform the national anthem at Dragons games throughout the season, with the grand prize winner performing on Opening Day 2020 before the Dragons host the Great Lakes Loons on Thursday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m.

While all time slots have been filled with performers who registered at DaytonDragons.com, there are still opportunities to perform at the tryouts on a stand-by basis.
To register as a stand-by performer, you must come to the Saturday, February 22 tryouts at the Mall at Fairfield Commons. You will receive a stand-by number that will be called when a spot becomes available. Standby performers are not guaranteed a chance to tryout.

A panel of local citizens including media personalities, city officials, and community leaders will be judging the event. The panel will make its selections based on voice quality, creative style, stage presence, and appearance.

The Dragons Green Team as well as mascots Heater and Gem will entertain fans throughout the auditions at the Mall at Fairfield Commons on Saturday.

SeaWolves to Hold Auditions for National Anthem, Public Address Announcers and On-Field Emcees

The SeaWolves will hold open auditions on Saturday, March 14 for National Anthem singers, public address announcers, and on-field emcees. Auditions will be held at the Center Court stage in the Millcreek Mall from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Interested parties will register and audition on the spot. Tryouts will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

NATIONAL ANTHEM SINGERS
Singers will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” a cappella (without music) and must complete their audition within a 90-second time frame. Solo performances and ensemble auditions are encouraged. There is no age requirement, but performers must be comfortable singing in a stadium environment. No CDs, tapes, emails or digital submissions will be accepted. Those auditioning are encouraged to review the SeaWolves’ game schedule and identify their availability throughout the season.

PUBLIC ADDRESS ANNOUNCER
The team is seeking one to two individuals to serve as the in-stadium public address voice(s) of UPMC Park for all 70 SeaWolves home games. PA Announcer duties include introducing starting lineups, batters and defensive changes, delivering promotional scripts and improvisational contests, and other duties as assigned. The PA Announcer works closely with the Director of Entertainment to create a fan-friendly and enjoyable experience at UPMC Park. Those auditioning will each read a variety of game day scripts and announce the SeaWolves lineup. Qualifications for this seasonal, game-day position include:

  • Strong vocal talent
  • A unique and definitive personality
  • Execute pre-game, in-game and post-game scripts and player introductions
  • Comfort speaking into a microphone in the control room to a large audience
  • Must be enthusiastic, energetic, and an effective communicator
  • Must possess the ability to think quickly based on game situations and improvise when needed
  • Demonstrate professionalism and comfort while announcing complex names
  • Strong knowledge of baseball rules and positions

ON-FIELD EMCEE
The team is seeking one to two individuals to serve as on-field hosts at UPMC Park for all 70 SeaWolves home games. On-field emcees are responsible for fan engagement during pre-game, in-game and post-game promotions on a nightly basis. The emcee(s) will work closely with the Director of Entertainment and the Wolf Pack Entertainment team. Those auditioning will host a mock in-game contest and read sample promotional scripts. Qualifications for this seasonal, game-day position include:

  • The ability to execute pre-game, in-game and post-game promotions
  • Must be enthusiastic, energetic, and an effective communicator
  • Comfort and poise using a hand-held microphone to speak in front of a large audience
  • Must possess the ability to think quickly based on game situations and improvise as needed
  • Must possess effective interpersonal communication skills for fan engagement
  • Must have a basic understanding of baseball and adhere to MiLB game operations requirements

The SeaWolves open the 2020 season on Thursday, April 9 at the Altoona Curve (Pirates). Opening Night at UPMC Park, presented by Plyler Entry Systems, is Thursday, April 16 at 6:05 p.m. against the Altoona Curve. Ticket packages and hospitality outings are available now by calling 814-456-1300.
