Your Silver Hawks host the annual Pink in the Park this Saturday and Sunday to honor all those affected by breast cancer. The annual event at the Coveleski Regional Stadium is presented by Memorial Regional Breast Care Center, B100 and ABC 57. A special pink Silver Hawks’ replica jersey on will be given out to the first 500 women 18 and older Saturday and Sunday.
“This is a very special weekend and the Silver Hawks are very proud to be partnering with Memorial Regional Breast Cancer Center to promote Pink in Park. This promotion has extra meaning to me as my mother passed away a couple of years ago from breast cancer. So anything that we can do as an organization to help bring awareness or raise funds to fight breast cancer, I am all for doing” stated Joe Hart, Team President.
In addition to the pink jersey giveaway, your Silver Hawks will also be wearing pink jerseys during the game on both Saturday & Saturday in honor of the fight against breast cancer. These jerseys will be auctioned off through the silent auction held during Saturday and Sunday’s game with proceeds from the auction going to Memorial Regional Breast Cancer Center. SALT LAKE CITY (May 16, 2013) – The Salt Lake Bees will honor men and women of the United States Armed Forces during Military Appreciation Night, sponsored by Larry H. Miller Collision Centers, on Saturday, May 18 as the Bees take on the Nashville Sounds at 6:35 p.m. The team will wear camouflage jerseys during the event.
Saturday, May 18th is Armed Forces Day, in which the Drive and the Upstate Community celebrate active and retired personnel from all branches of the Military. The Armed Forces Day Parade begins at 5 PM on Main Street, going through Downtown Greenville and ending at Fluor Field where the celebration continues with military displays, JROTC demonstrations, and America’s Heroes.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA – The Gwinnett Braves have announced plans to raise funds for Tripp Halstead, a two-year old Barrow County, Georgia boy who suffered a brain injury when he was struck by a tree limb during Hurricane Sandy last October. The G-Braves will host a 5K Race, dubbed “Tripp’s Trot,” as well as “Tripp Halstead Night” at Coolray Field on Saturday, June 22.
The Portland Sea Dogs in conjunction with the Buck’s Naked BBQ and 99.9 The Wolf will hold the “Big Fat Food Drive” on Thursday, May 30th to benefit the Good Shepherd Food Bank.

SAN JOSE, CA– On Friday, May 31, the San Jose Giants will present the second annual Strikeout Violence Night at Municipal Stadium. The evening will once again center on an anti-bullying message. The San Jose Giants are excited to welcome back country artist Matt Kennon who performed at the inaugural Strikeout Violence Night. Festivities will include a pregame performance by Kennon, presented by KRTY, and a Junior Giants Peace Pledge Ceremony. RICHMOND, VA – The Richmond Flying Squirrels will partner with Victory Golf Events to hold their first charity golf tournament, the Flying Squirrels Charity Golf Open on Monday, June 17th at the Dominion Club. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Miracle League of Richmond. The tournament will be played with teams of four competing in a scramble format along with a celebrity teammate. Celebrity teammates will include Flying Squirrels players, coaches and staff members as well additional celebrities from the sports and media community in Richmond.
